Likte: We recently stayed at Maynards Campsite in Arundel and had a wonderful experience! The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making check-in easy. The campground itself was well-kept and impressively clean; you can tell they take pride in maintaining the grounds and facilities.

I’m sure Because it was the off-season, the campground was very peaceful, which made for a relaxing and quiet getaway. We almost had the place to ourselves, which was a treat, though I imagine it’s livelier during peak season.

Overall, it was a lovely stay

Likte: Accessibility to Arundel was perfect. Although in close proximity to the main road, you could hardly hear the traffic unless it was Police/ ambulance etc sounding their sirens.

Unfortunately there was no advance warning that you couldn't use all your electrics in your caravan because of the low rate cabling that they used. Apparently there is a sign in the shower/toilet block! Very basic site.

Likte: Easy to get to and within walking distance of Arundel. Beefeater practically on the site was useful for a meal or little drink in the evening. Owners were friendly and leant a helping hand with my tent pitching.

Likte ikke: Very basic and only one shower working. The site wasn't busy but I imagine if there had been even a couple of others there, there would have been a queue. It was expensive for what it was. Site also right next to a main road so if you're looking for somewhere tranquil, the traffic here went through the night.

Likte: Lots of space, close to wildlife and nature! We saw deers and rabbits and some cute cats wondering around. It wasn’t hard to find with the directions given at all. There were toilet rolls in every toilet and a working shower in each side. It was so easy to get to and from our locations as this was in a great space close to local amenities.

Likte: I liked the location, look and feel of the site. It took days of rain without turning soggy, has attractive but dated facilities required a bit of TLC, friendly owner has only been there since June so hopefully will iron out the bugs for next season.

Owners are spotless, their personal selection of large twin axle caravans, vans and cars are also spotless, so it would be nice to see the paid facilities we use as a customer up to a decent presentation!

It’s not miles away, bit of paint, cleaning, mowing etc…,

Likte ikke: Almost impossible to find (with any nav aid or mapping) as it’s accessed through the Crossbush Beefeater car park with only a ‘Private’ sign in sight! No telephone number apparent either.

Too many things didn’t work, dodgy taps, hookups kept tripping, grass needed cutting and edges strimming, various lights didn’t work, nothing major, just lots of sad neglected bits which could be mostly sorted within a weekend of odd jobs and a bit of paint in places.

Owners daughter really rude, I noticed an unattended tap spraying water everywhere and just happened to have my toolbox out, was in the middle of fitting a new rubber washer as a favour and she came and scowled at me and told me not to park my car on the grass!! (No sign, other cars parked on grass) which has knocked a star off my review and means I won’t ever go back I’m so upset at her horrible attitude. Shame as Jinny Larkham herself seems very friendly.

There are a selection of scruffy, damaged and dirty contractors caravans/vans/broken down cars scattered around the side of the site, these are not frankly welcoming or what a typical caravan site allows. Not my business, but it’s not helping future bookings.

Cash only! You only find out when you get on the site and frankly it smacks of something bad. I have no issue with travellers running a campsite, lord knows they should understand caravanning better than most of us, but as business owners and directors of two other businesses the Larkhams should accept card or at least bank transfer.

Look, if it wasn’t for the rudeness shown by the daughter I would have recommended the site, but I’m just not convinced after that. It was a real game changer.

However, I wish them all the best and hope this potentially cracking site can be bought up to a really high standard to suit the excellent location and historic reviews..

Likte: Lovely little site, very friendly staff always around to talk to and help if needed. Washing up facilities with dish soap available, washing machine and tumble dryer on site.

So far the best toilet and shower block I've had in a campsite with good pressure hot showers with an electric heater. Plenty of electric pitches for motorhomes, and also flexible for people like me who travel with a converted car camper.

Walking distance from a pub, and a petrol station across the road with a cash point and some supplies which come in handy if you run out of food and need to grab a few bits.

Had some nice chats with one of the owners while staying there, and she was accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be back next time we come past the area.
