Bryn Hyfryd Campsite

Ik was blij met: Lovely small site. Only about 5 motor home electric pitches and space for 8 tents. The showers were powerful and warm. Nice small play area so could see children all the time. Nice walk to the reservoir, we didn't go round it but walked a small while. Really clean and the owner was very nice. I would stay here again.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Showers in with toilets and sink, so the floor was wet - take crocs or flip-flops.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Sat nav postcode is off by a few hundred yards which meant I went sailing past the entrance and there wasn’t anyway to turn the caravan around for several miles. Described in title of campsite as ‘lake side view”, it’s not got a lake side view but the lake is close by). Not clear which pitches to park and not park on. Couldn’t control temperature of shower so I ended up with a scalding hot shower rather than a comfortably hot shower. Dog exercise area waterlogged. Missing cardboard / paper recycling bin over at shower area

Ik was blij met: Let’s start with the positives. The people who owned the site were lovely and welcoming, family run/owned.
Upon arrival we had to check in by calling the phone number on the sign. There were ample toilets and showers and cleaned a number of times a day.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Unfortunately pitch up hadn’t seemed to have passed our booking onto them so they had no record of us. They had with the other two bookings in our group.
Whilst the facilities were cleaned regularly the hot water was scalding in the shower I adviced them and the lady had it turned down( right down) it was freezing. There was no heating in the shower blocks.
No cover / canopy over the washing up facilities and only a cold tap.
Chemical toilet waste was less than a foot away from the washing up sink.
Unfortunately the tent field got waterlogged and vehicles got stuck.

Ik was blij met: Campsite was lovely. Great facilities and always clean, well stocked. Emma was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the camping pod B and it was fantastic! Much better equipped than we were expecting. It had a toaster, microwave, fridge, plug sockets etc. beds were comfy. Heater provided. It surpassed our expectations by a mile. Worth noting for others looking to walk to llangefni town - you can go via the back of the campsite very easily and walk via the reservoir which is a lovely route and much nicer than the speedy main road with no pavement we tried to walk along on the first day.

Ik was blij met: It’s a fantastic central location with all places on Anglesey within easy distance.
Pitches are quite spacious and the owners very welcoming.

Ik was niet zo blij met: No hot water in the washing up area but that’s being really critical.

Ik was blij met: Fantastic 4 night stay. The owner met us on arrival as the road was closed and we got a little lost but ordinarily easy to find! Very helpful throughout the stay. Showers were really hot and powerful, really quiet site and loads of space per pitch with your own picnic table! Also we found the location to be perfect as it's very central so can get to anywhere on Anglesey, it just gives you lots of options. Would definitely return.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Didn't 'dislike' anything however something to note is we weren't aware of any hot tap for washing up, just cold. Perhaps we just missed it but only very small thing.

Ik was blij met: The location to local amenities and walks, facilities were clean and well kept. Owners were polite and welcoming. Well priced for the area

Ik was blij met: Fantastic site and great value for money. Stayed solo with my two doggies in my tent box. Facilities are great and very spacious. A stones throw away from the reservoir which serve beautiful walks and views. Can’t wait to come back!
