Set in the hilly and forested countryside of North Wales, Snowdon View Caravan Park has dazzling views – yes, you guessed it – right to mighty Mount Snowdon itself. A 10-minute drive from Llanberis in the middle of Snowdonia National Park, this neatly landscaped and peaceful park is designed to make life easy for you. The Little Tavern is on site or a chilled drink and alfresco meal in the summer beer garden, or for dining by the cosy inglenook fireplace in cooler months, so there’s no need to worry about cooking (please check opening times, which are reduced in low season). Other handy facilities include pristine shower blocks, mother-and-baby rooms, and coin-operated washing machines available 24/7. Of course, a holiday wouldn’t be a holiday if you have to leave the family dog behind, but they're welcome here – you can exercise your four-legged pals on the dedicated nature trail around the park. And whatever your sporty interests, there is a holiday activity to suit you and your family. Stay on site for a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool, take a fun ride on the zipwire and let younger kids run riot on the climbing frames and swings at the play area. Just a little further afield, go boating and fishing on the clear waters of Llyn Padarn lake (five minutes’ drive), or spend time exploring spectacular Snowdonia National Park. Anything else you need to know? Head for reception, where welcoming staff members can fill you in on local attractions and advise you on what to see and do.

  • Commerciële voertuigen (voertuigen die gebruikt worden voor werk en/of het vervoeren van goederen of betalende passagiers) en voertuigen met reclameboodschappen zijn verboden op het terrein.
  • Continentale caravans (caravans met de passagiersdeur aan de rechterkant) zijn niet toegestaan.
  • Minstens één lid van het gezelschap dient 25 of ouder te zijn.
  • Het wordt gasten geadviseerd om een zaklantaarn van goede kwaliteit mee te nemen, omdat delen van het terrein onverlicht zijn.
  • Bij droog, winderig en/of heet weer zijn vuren, barbecues en vuurkorven niet toegestaan.
  • Outside of peak season, the Tavern pub is open from Thursday to Sunday. Please note the swimming pool is currently unavailable due to refurbishment, and it will reopen at the end of May 2025.

Ik was blij met: The children's park and a lovely little pub. Also had a little bouncy castle for the kids. and the staff in reception and pub very friendly and welcoming.

Ik was niet zo blij met: The showers could have done with being a little big bigger hard to get yourself and a little one showered in there. but they was clean especially for a busy bank holiday weekend.

Ik was blij met: Lovely setting, close to beautiful views, tourist attractions and activities. Travelling October half term and the park was peaceful, calm and clean. We had the pool to ourselves every day.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Our pitch was in a terrible place to reverse onto without a motor mover. The hard standing was about 5 inches above the grass so impossible to reverse onto. There were two bollards and a neighbour's awning directly opposite. Miracle we got it on!

Not a "dislike" but things to be aware of:
The toilet paper is ridiculously cheap, to the point of being unusable - bring your own!
The swimming pool is tired. The water is clean and warm enough, but there is lots of debris and it's overall grubby, a sign says due refurb next year which hopefully will sort this.

Ik was blij met: Unfortunately didn’t make it there

Ik was niet zo blij met: Unfortunately we were unable to go due to sickness, we tried to rearrange another date but were unable to so we lost out on £62, very frustrating but looks like a nice place from the pictures. Has put me off going to this particular site as wasn’t very helpful about trying to rearranging another date.

Ik was blij met: the fabulous views of snowdonia and location to llanberis as well as the differing colours of the sky at different times of the day and night
the quietness of the site as no one was around = we went from monday to friday (seasonal vans had a few people around)
gardener was very friendly if we asked a question re the area. the pitches and site was clean and roomy

Ik was niet zo blij met: the touring area which was right at the back of the static caravans and very big hill climb to it. also tight for parking as bollards at the end of each section.
paying for your electric as i was worried we would run out as we.ve not done it this way before and no refund if not used all of the card.
paying £20 for the dog and we never used the dog walk area (too far at the back of the touring site) - and she didnt even have a shower!
the clubhouse only opening thursday - weekends as apparently we were at the end of the season (although it was spotlessly clean and staff friendly)
the showers were tight with a huge step up to the cubicle and shower curtain as it let the water out. i used the disabled shower but had the same issue and no mop to soak up the excess water
the toilet tissue dispenser being at the back of the toilet which made it difficult to reach

Ik was blij met: Loved staying here. Clean showers and pub on site was fun and friendly. Entertainment on both Friday and Saturday which was an unexpected bonus. Good location, llanberis lake is close by which is beautiful. Would visit again and recommend to friends.

Ik was blij met: Every thing. Such a nice kept site and brilliant staff . The Inn was great and staff there were. The ground staff also.

Ik was blij met: Great 4G signal, we were able to stream films all night. very clean toilets and showers. Quiet family site, bins emptied daily. Swimming pool was perfect for us with 2 kids, it was warm and clean. electric hook up was free as previous guests left credit on the pitch. Staff were very friendly apart from the grumpy cleaner. Great views & on site pub ! shame we brought the kids.

Other ways to appreciate the spectacular landscapes include boating on Llyn Padarn lake (five minutes’ drive), or climbing aboard the Snowdon Mountain Railway (10 minutes) to chug across viaducts and valleys to the summit of Wales’ highest peak. If child-friendly days out feature on your holiday agenda, make a beeline for the Welsh Mountain Zoo (35 minutes) to see rare snow leopards or become keepers for the day, and help your offspring find their surfing feet on the waves at Adventure Parc Snowdonia (40 minutes). Up the ante by testing family nerves on the zipwires at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (15 minutes), or have a go at trampolining in a former mine at Zip World Llechwedd (50 minutes). Add a touch of history to your Snowdonia break with a visit to the workshops and massive waterwheel at the National Slate Museum (10 minutes), or tour the museums and towers of medieval Caernarfon Castle (15 minutes).
