Ik was blij met Brilliant little campsite. Very clean facilities. Good communication from the owners. I didn't share the field with sheep as others have said. Would definitely recommend.

Ik was blij met The facilities including the toilets and showers were clean and tidy with hand soap and toilet rolls. Campsite itself was spotless with fantastic views during the day and great at night if you like to look skywards. The ice cream van that comes all the way to the camping field was brilliant too. I have given wifi a 1 because lets be honest who wants wifi when camping.

Ik was niet blij met Had to hop the fence as no gate to get to the toilets or walk all the way round the field, great for your steps not so good if you need the loo! The showers seemed to go really hot or really cold with no in between.

10/10 area. Plenty of wild swimming and good walks near by

Ik was blij met The site was generally really good and well kept. The lodges and glamping tents looked really nice with very well looked after grass lawns, and fenced around so the farm livestock couldn't invade.
The facilities provided were of a high standard: toilets and male and female shower rooms were always clean and very well maintained

Ik was niet blij met I was camping.
The field reserved for tents was a disgrace. There was barely a square foot without sheep poo in it. The ground was so uneven with hoof marks, you had to watch you didn't go over on your ankle.
I am travelling solo, and only have a small tent. Still it took me a while to find a patch where the sheep crap was dry enough to clear away, so the bottom of my tent wouldn't be covered in it. Avoiding stepping in the mess was even more of a problem in the dark with a torch.
It comes as no surprise, that even in the middle of August, I was the ONLY person camping in that site.
Thankfully I was only spending one night there, on my way to two other sites in South Wales, which were like golf greens by comparison.
My advice: if you are renting a lodge or glamping tent, you're probably good. In a tent? Forget it unless you enjoy camping in a sheep toilet.
The pics on the site of the camping field are very misleading. It might look cute with sheep roaming around, but it is covered in sheep crap.

The glamping sites look excellent.
Shared washing and toilet facilities to glamping standards.
Well look after grounds and amazing skies day & night!

Ik was niet blij met The non glamping pitches are a little “abandoned” compared to the glamping on offer.
Maybe a couple of pub tables and benches would make it more friendly.
A shared hot tub may be too much to expect but when every glamping site its own one…
The ship make it “wild”, and they do crap a lot… so bring spare shoes/flip-flops…

Ik was blij met Forty pounds for a weekend in a beautiful, quiet location, pitched next to a small brook winding through trees. What's not to like? Facilities were in good working order and kept spotless, hosts were very communicative and easy going. Our first camping adventure for about twenty years, this was the perfect first weekend we were looking for to encourage us to do more.

Ik was blij met Good field for tents, a wash station next to the field and a short walk to the facilities which were clean. It is a fairly peaceful site.

Ik was niet blij met Too many sheep in the camping field this year meant clearing the over abundance of droppings as best as possible before putting up the tent.
The male shower cut heat after a few minutes leaving me to finish washing in decidedly cold water. It also did this the last time I visited.
A good site but I can't reccomend it at the moment due to the amount of droppings this year.

Ik was blij met Great location, lovely setting, warm welcome with clear instructions. Shower warm and clean, water point nearby camping field. Very quiet. Lodges and clamping tents looked amazing but I had brought my own tent. Dawn chorus incredible.

Ik was niet blij met Not so much a dislike but a heads up that the camping field is shared with the sheep and their numerous droppings so keep a stick or spade handy to clear a patch. The sheep didn't bother me otherwise, made for good company and added to the 'wild camping' experience. Only 1 shower per gender so can imagine it can get busy but on a cold and wet April Easter weekend it was surprisingly quiet.
