The Homestead

Ik was blij met Nice field with plenty of room to play some ball with the dogs. Lovely toilet and shower block. Kept so clean and tidy. Lovely pub along the road, The Curlew.

Ik was niet blij met Don't park under the tree, we had accorns dropping on the van all night. I've never seen so.many daddy longlegs in my life. They came swarming in to the light. Flights from the airport started up very early. These were just minor things.

Ik was blij met Location. Close to shops, garden centre and the airport (you will hear planes taking off but we likes that)
We got to choose our pitch which was perfect for us.
Facilities were very clean and modern.

Ik was blij met Great location. Everything you need in a small space. Very cosy. Great use of space. Clean and well kept.

Ik was niet blij met It was in an urban location near to a main road and the airport so not very peaceful

Ik was blij met The location is great for exploring the local area. There is a garden centre with cafe, pub, Lidl, Tesco Express, fish and chips and play park all within 10 mins walk.
The shower block is really clean, plenty of hot water and we never had to wait for a shower.
It's a nice green site with plenty of mature trees.
We had a furnished bell tent. It had everything we needed. There's a double bed and 2 futon beds. The futons are just a soft mattress that folds up into a chair. These were fine for our young children but may be not be that comfy for anyone older.

Ik was niet blij met There is only 1 sink for the whole site to wash up and it doesn't have any hot water. I think this facility could be improved.
The bell tents are near the road end of the site and so we didn't sleep well due to the road noise. It starts up pretty early as well, due to people getting to the airport for early morning flights I guess. The campsite is next to the airport but we didn't mind the noise of the aeroplanes landing and taking off, as much as we minded the road noise which is more constant. The pitches for caravans/tents are at the much quieter end of the campsite.

My kids loved the location and had so much fun. I would recommend The Homestead to my friends and family.

Ik was blij met The bell tent was very clean when we arrived. The beds were comfy and the surroundings were lovely and well kept. The toilets and showers were also very clean.

Ik was blij met Lovely flat site, plenty of choice of where to go in the fields with a mixture of shade from the oak trees, or more sunny bits. The facilities are great - showers are decent and are checked regularly throughout the day and cleaned.

Right near the airport so you can watch the planes take off and land from the campsite, or walk 10 minutes up the road to watch them at the airport !

Ik was niet blij met There is only 1 washing up sink which can have a bit of a queue but not an issue for us.
The cleaner works tirelessly to keep the toilets and showers clean but unfortunately, both times we have stayed this has not been respected by quite a lot of other guests and they end up in a mess very quickly afterwards (doesn't last long as the lovely lady comes back to sort it out again)
