Middle Corscombe Farm

Ik was blij met: This was a great little find! The camp site has everything you need, the barn ie a great addition if you get a spell of bad weather and also jut great to hang out - we played a few games of pool and used the kitchen facilities. Plenty of space on the pitches, the communal fire pit is ideal to sit around in the evening. We even had a game of badminton in one of the meadows. The swimming pool looked great but we werent brave enough to go in with slightly cooler weather. This site is great and the owners are very helpful - I would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Ik was blij met: Wow, just wow. The site is beautiful and has everything you need for a good family camp. We chose to stay in the meadow which was private and shaded and lovely and Lloyd (the owner) was very kind and helped us get our heavy things down in the landrover. It is a magical campsite with a great communal area (we call it the clubhouse) which has a fridge and air hockey. What more do you need? To top it all off there’s the sauna and pool. Absolutely brilliant, we only went offsite two out of five days, we were very happy to hang out at the campsite the other days. The moor is very close and when we did venture out we loved the majestic quality of West Mill Tor which we climbed with gusto.
Showers are hot, freezer is cold, toilets are clean, camping ground is flat. We will definitely come back to this camp, no doubt in my mind. Thank you so much Lloyd and Lisle for your hospitality.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Checking in o arrival just wandering around lost chap freindly enough but a little over bearing. Had tent fire pit (which damaged his grass I know mine we took doesn't) also fire wood forced to buy not useable

Ik was blij met: Each pitch is surrounded by wild grasses and flowers, giving privacy and space from other campers. The communal barn kitchen was great during the odd rainy evening. Loos and showers kept clean and tidy.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Minor things: The lights in the loos/showers are quite dim, but not really an issue. A wooden slatted mat in the shower room would be nice, as the floor gets wet and slippy very quickly.

Ik was blij met: Nicely held campsite in the nature, only very few pitches to allow tranquility. Everything is clean and the barn is a nice addition. Good hot shower

Ik was niet zo blij met: These are tiny details but to have a small stool in the shower would be nice, especially when you have young children to shower and dress. Also a dish rack in the barn would be useful.

Ik was blij met: The owners, Lisle and Lloyd, were absolutely wonderful. Facilities are excellent, especially the barn, swimming pool and sauna. Best campsite I've been to in a while. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Ik was blij met: We loved everything! Lloyd and Lisle were so welcoming and helpful. The barn is a really special space with loads of great books, games & a wonderful kitchen with an aga to use for cooking if you don’t feel like being by your tent.
Everything was spotlessly clean - even though it was a bit wet & muddy! We were in the lower camping space and it was perfect - sheltered from the rain and the children loved the forest walk.
We managed to use the pool in the short time it was sunny and the children loved it! Such an amazing place - I almost don’t want to tell anyone! We’ll definitely be back.

Ik was blij met: Lovely site with exceptionally friendly hosts. The site is beautifully maintained and really peaceful. The Barn is a great addition as is the pool and sauna. Close to loads of local amenities but once you are on the farm it feels really secluded. Take time to check out the woodland walk and meet the gorgeous neighbouring cows.

Ik was niet zo blij met: The eco credentials are great, but a couple of charging points wouldn't go amiss. ;-)
Maybe a bit more light on the toilets but appreciate what is there is all solar powered.

Ik was blij met: We loved it at Middle Corscombe Farm. We found the campsite to be really conveniently located close to the A30, with brilliant facilities. This was our first time camping with our kids and they had a great time. The pool was fabulous (luckily we had a hot, sunny day as the water was quite cold!) and a real bonus for the price. We really loved the barn, brilliant as a place to hang out other than the tents and were not expecting it to be so well equipped with everything we needed to cook, and lots of games and books. The shower facilities were excellent - all solar/wind powered and lovely and warm, and kept clean and well maintained. We also liked that the pitches were nicely made up, flat and spread out with meadow in between. Lloyd and Lisle, the owners, were kind and helpful.
As a tiny campsite, we had the place to ourselves for one night which was lovely, and when another party joined ours we were lucky & it worked so well - they were all adults so there was no problem or clash of preferred timings to sign up to use the pool and kitchen.

- Great facilities e.g. sauna (bookable), showers, communal games room, communal kitchen (bookable)
- proximity to A30 junction, Okehampton facilities, Dartmoor

Ik was niet zo blij met: Only minor gripes were:
- limited car parking all away from the pitches (which was clearly indicated upfront)
- grass paths to pitches are slanted on hillside, tricky at night and when wet
