Ik was blij met We liked the quietness of the place. The badminton area that we enjoyed so much but unfortunately the kids broke the rackets 😭. The place is clean and the beşt part is the breakfast 😋

We also felt secured 😊

Ik was blij met The best bit about our stay was how helpful the staff were - especially the two lads that were managing the breakfast rush.
The tent was well stocked with fuel for the outside burner. We appreciated the kettle and burner but would expect these at £100 a night.

Ik was niet blij met I felt that the management of the site was poor- maybe down to too little staff or not enough family members!
Bins were often over flowing- there was no toilet paper or paper towels for drying hands.
The single futon provided had seen better days- my daughter complained of ‘sleeping on the ground’.
Breakfast was included but I felt it was of poor quality and the staff were ill prepared
for vegetarians. I felt too much was expected of one server - breakfast was a bit chaotic

Ik was blij met Myself, a friend, our 16 year old daughters and 2 dogs loved the site. It felt safe. The bell tent was a good size and comfortable and and facilities were good. The onsite breakfast included and good on site is a great touch and the burgers were tasty!

Ik was niet blij met Nothing to dislike. Just a suggestion of maybe have a couple of the tents with low fences around the front area with the bench for those with dogs

Ik was blij met Great Breakfast, good location and comfortable accommodation. Nice and secure site especially great for families with kids.

Ik was niet blij met Weeds in the car park could have been cleared. Needs more power packs for the tents. Ideally two for each tent, labelled so you had one in use and one on charge at all times.

Ik was blij met Location, layout and organisation of the site, facilities, games offering, pre-stay communication, Steers restaurant, good quality food. Breakfast was excellent.

Ik was niet blij met Size of 4m yurt with so much furniture was very cosy with 2 adults, 1 child plus dog. Would book larger yurt next time

Ik was blij met The setting was lovely, yurt was so nice with log burner and the staff were very accommodating for our group, food was great and the bar had a good selection.
Access to electric in the reception to use for us to do our hair (goodwood revival) and allowing us to park our vintage cars securely

Ik was niet blij met We didn’t have enough wood for the 2nd night or enough milk for our morning tea, minor details and we were made aware more available to purchase (no one around before we left for the day or when we returned). Only one shower was working
Suggestion - daily boxes delivered to yurt which includes battery pack, water, tea coffee sugar and logs

Ik was blij met Love the tents and the beds.
They have thought of everything.
The log burners in the tents and breakfast are a wonderful addition to glamming for us.

The tent with all the games equipment in is also really good.

Ik was blij met Fantastic site for the children, safe & secure. Food was a reasonable price, well cooked. Everywhere nice & clean. Tents are a nice size & very comfy. If you want a Halloween break this is the place to go & you would not be disappointed as so much effect has been put into the decorations around the site. All had a lovely weekend.

Ik was blij met We liked everything about Southwood, from the personal welcome and being able to text the owner about a last minute change of bringing our dog, nothing was a problem or too much trouble. Rachel is so helpful.

Facilities - everything was clean, the water pressure for outdoor showers is great. Toilets with mirrors in a clean toilet block, freezer space of which anyone could use was brilliant.
There isn’t any power in the bell tent however everything has been meticulously thought through, from a light in the middle of the room, a touch-lamp by the side of the bed, tea and coffee was provided with a kettle and gas stove, a mirror, and a wardrobe/clothes rail.
The log burner made the tent very cosy in the evenings.
A charging pack was provided and padlock for the tent.

The park and games room were perfect for my children, there were lots of board games, giant outdoor games, badminton, football goals with a light-up football for dusk, and a bar area that provided breakfast and dinner (the full English looked amazing, we didn’t have any during our stay as we brought lots of things with us).
I can’t fault the service and the beautiful grounds of this glamping site. We shall definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely stay.
