Forest Side Glamping offers up some smart tents with a distinctive and cosy design, in a serene setting right on the edge of Hatfield Forest. Here’s your chance to immerse yourselves in nature, gaze up at the stars on clear nights and cook up your favourite food as you cosy up with your besties around the campfire. Each tent comes kitted out with a comfy double bed and any additional beds you may require. Considerate touches include rugs, electric plugs and USB charge points to keep you connected with the outside world, as well as night lights and hanging rails so your outfits stay looking smart. Close by is a bathroom with hot water, a shower and flushing toilet, as well as a simple tent kitchen with a hob, all utensils and a neat little seating area. Parking is available on the site, which has easy access from the M11. This remarkably peaceful spot also makes a great overnight stop for flights from London Stansted Airport (10 minutes’ drive). The kids can run around letting off steam on forest trails in Hatfield Forest (five minutes) where there’s also fishing on the lake. In season you can pick fruit at Cammas Hall Farm (10 minutes), while Bishop’s Stortford (15 minutes) has you covered for shopping essentials and plenty of pubs and restaurants.
