Catch you at Cragg Farm Camping Pods – at the edge of the Lake District – for a Cumbria break with cracking views out over the northern fells. This park, around a five-minute drive from Cockermouth, has well-lit accommodation suitable for families or couples in peaceful surrounds with a wealth of walking trails nearby to suit all abilities. Each pod, built from Siberian larch to trap in heat, contains a fully fitted kitchen with a sink, a two-ring induction hob, an oven, a fridge-freezer and a microwave – essentially, the main bits and bobs you need for making meals. Other amenities include a generously sized shower room with a toilet and washbasin, plus fully fitted beds. Settle in at the dining table and chairs in the living space or spread out on a comfy corner sofa that turns into a double bed. Full insulation in the roof and floor, along with double glazing and underfloor heating, helps make sure your stay is as cosy as can be. While you’re indoors and toasty, switch on the LED lights and charge your electronic devices or flick on the TV. Outside, the pod has a spacious decked area next to a patch of land reserved for parking your car, so there’s ample room for alfresco relaxing. Need supplies? Cockermouth has numerous specialist shops for stocking up, including a butcher, bakery, greengrocer and fishmonger. There are also restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

Ik was blij met Catherine has thought of everything when it comes to these pods. The underfloor heating, milk for a cuppa, washing up liquid - you really can turn up with nothing other than the clothes you need and food!
The welcome pack was a 12/10!! Everything you need to know and Catherine included local pub/resteraunt/takeaway menus which i thought was a good touch.

All round a fantastic base for commuting into the lakes and we will be back!

Ik was blij met Beautiful spotless camping pod. Catherine looked after us extremely well. We used both the double bed and the sofa bed and they were very comfortable. Lovely site on the farm, we would highly recommend and would definitely like to stay again.

Ik was blij met The pod was beautiful and pristine. The views were magnificent, from the sheep peacefully grazing nearby, to the fields on rolling hills, to the distant mountains. The host was very kind and hospitable.

Ik was blij met Perfect designed camping pod, both stylish and modern. Great attentive host. They have prepared a detailed handbook/manual at the pod. You can basically fix every problem you come across with the handbook. From no running hot water to operating the hob. And last but not least, the view and the location. Just a few minute drive to the nearest town and not that far away from the main tourist spots at the Lake District. Not the easiest to find if you opt to drive there after sunset. But this is definitely the problem of our own making. The host could greed us at the gate if we were not that late. (after 10.00pm)

Ik was blij met We had a fantastic stay at Cragg Farm glamping pods. The pod was spacious and well maintained with a comfortable bed and a stunning nature view.
Liked Barbecue area.
Location is perfect for exploring Lake District area, and is well connected to the main roads, Gas station, stores like lidl and Sainsbury's are within 10 minutes drives from the location.
Highly recommend for peaceful and comfortable stay.

Ik was blij met We loved the location of the camping pods and they were perfect for our family of 4. Warm and clean and really well equipped. So good for coming back to after a days walking. Close to a supermarket in Cockermouth and an easy drive to fells and lakes.

Catherine was lovely and very communicative and welcoming. Would definitely come again.

Ik was blij met FANTASTIC! POD was absolutely spotless as if brand new. Catherine was soo warm and welcoming. Nothing was a trouble if you needed anything. Location was picturesque. A few extras that we did not expect which was a nice extra touch from Catherine. We will definitely be back and looking to book again for this year and next year.

If your looking for a quiet location whether your in a couple of family this is the site for you. We could not fault it.

Being so close to the Lake District, there’s plenty to do while on a trip in this area. Wander around the National Trust’s Wordsworth House and Garden (10 minutes’ drive) for starters, the childhood home of one of England’s most famed poets, or point your compass towards wilder areas for ambling like Crummock and Loweswater (20 minutes). For challenging hikes, head up to Grisedale Pike (35 minutes); pedal pushers, meanwhile, should set off for the mountain bike trails in Whinlatter Forest Park (20 minutes). This spot also has a treetop adventure course and play areas for the kids. As a reward for all the roaming, have a jaunt to the Jennings Brewery Shop for tours and tastings (10 minutes). Or stick to the outdoors at the Lake District Wildlife Park (15 minutes), home to over 100 exotic animals, before rounding off your trip by checking out the views over to Scotland from the Solway Coast (45 minutes).
