All ages are catered for here, with clubs for toddlers, games rooms for older kids and sports for all. And there are plenty of options for parents to relax, too…
Set among palm trees, the roomy, well-equipped mobile homes all have kitchens and living spaces, storage in the bedrooms and private toilets. The shaded terraces are ideal for siesta time or alfresco family barbecues. There’s a convenient grocery store on site, but if you don’t want to cook, no problem. You’ve got a choice of restaurants, bars and a takeaway on site.
During the day, life revolves around the terrace bar by the pool. There are slides and rope bridges at the waterpark, and a lengthy list of activities includes basketball, tennis and crazy golf. You can also hire bikes to explore the Catalan countryside and hone your abs in the on-site gym.
And the buzz continues after dark, when teens can dodge their parents at the (supervised) late-night disco, and the poolside bar fills up with chattering families. Camping El Delfín Verde can get busy in July and August, so if you’d prefer a more laidback vibe during the day, sandy Fonollera beach is right across the road.

Several beaches are within 10 minutes’ drive, but you can walk to Fonollera in minutes. Its waves are safe for kids to paddle and swim, and there’s plenty of room to doze in the sun. You can also rent windsurfers, take a sailing lesson, or zoom along the coastline on a jetski.
If you’re a keen golfer, take advantage of discounted green fees at Empordà Golf Club (10 minutes’ drive), and there are horse-riding stables minutes away in the Catalan hills.
Up the cultural mix with a trip to the elegant Costa Brava town of Figueres (45 minutes), to dip into museums dedicated to eccentric artist Salvador Dalí. You can also pick up his madcap designs in souvenir shops along the Rambla street and cruise the tapas bars for tasty snacks.
