Set up on a Pembrokeshire organic farm and about five minutes’ drive from Tenby, Old Quay Escape is a lovely glamping spot that’s just the place for enjoying a bit of rural peace while also having easy access to the seaside town’s beaches, activities and amenities. Stay here and you’ll be able to make the most of those lovely sandy beaches, try out all the area’s restaurants and spend days walking the coast path or going on seal-spotting boat tours. And then when you’re ready to chill out you’ll come back to this scenic spot and a smart high-spec shepherd’s hut that’s been kitted out with everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. You should never get chilly here – the hut is fully insulated, with underfloor heating and a log burner inside and a firepit outside (and a basket of logs included to get you started with your fires). Inside, there’s a spacious kingsize bed, an ensuite bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen (with an induction hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and cafetière as well as a good stack of pots, pans, plates and the like). Electricity and heating are included in the price here, and bed linen and towels are provided to make life nice and easy. Outside, you’ll have your own private fenced-off area with seating where you can while away the evening having a drink by the firepit and looking up into the stars. Being part of an organic farm means there will be fresh produce for sale at certain times of the year; this particular farm also has a quad biking centre where you can get a bit of adrenaline going if you want to.
