The Rounds

Mi è piaciuto: Loved the location and the site itself, basic but perfect if looking for a more traditional camping experience (enjoying the outdoors).

Quiet could occasionally hear the main road but far enough away to not be noticed.
we were the first family they had, so the kids had the whole field to run around with the dog.
Viv and James are great hosts and very accommodating, even checked in after I called out the AA for a flat battery offering to help.
The toilet and shower facilities were brilliant, clean, loved the design which retained the camping feel, got a big thumbs up from my teenage daughter. 😊
Whilst we didn't need it, the inside facilities and fire pit are a nice touch to escape the bad weather, play board games (provided) and enjoy the clear night skies.

Non mi è piaciuto: Nothing, only downside is we didn't stay longer...Next time!

Can be a bit windy which makes setting up and packing away good fun.

It would be useful to be able to charge electronics/phones in the barn (there may have been a plug, but I didn't see it, had our own power packs)

Mi è piaciuto: The Rounds is a fantastic little campsite with a lovely ocean view all the way to Caldey Island. The coast is just a 10 minute drive away (there is free parking at Amroth Bay) and a 20 minute drive to Tenby.

The are enough toilets and showers (the water gets hot!) on the campsite and they were always clean.
There is a communal barn fully equipped with boardgames, charging stations for phones or other electronics, a fridge and a sink for washing up.

Viv and James are lovely hosts and they really go the extra mile to make sure everyone feels right at home.

Mi è piaciuto: My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the rounds, they have created an incredibly peaceful space that is really well set out for campers. Lots of small extras included to make your stay easier proving how well thought out the site is. All the facilities were clean and well maintained, the main indoor kitchen area is warm and inviting, board games, phone charger ports with holders next to them, local info available and friendly hosts (and a playful dog to fuss makes it even better!). Showers were hot and I really liked that it was almost a normal bathroom with toiler, sink and shower in one room (multiple block, you’re not fighting for space). Would highly recommend staying here and I’m sure we will be returning soon.

Mi è piaciuto: Everything was just amazing!!! We were the only ones who brought a tent so we had the whole pitch to ourselves, minus the bell tents. Shower and bathroom facilities were great, very clean, hot showers, amenities were refilled daily, also a few toilet blocks so never had to wait.

The activities room has a fridge, sink and just everything you really need to camp. They also have a big fire pit where you can barbecue! Car parking is also very close to the pitch.

View of the campsite was amazing too, it’s a sea view and if it’s a clear night you can see all the stars!

Aside from the campsite itself being amazing. James and Viv were lovely hosts, they were so attentive (we were walking through these tall grass as a short cut to get to the toilets, and they must’ve seen us do that cus that bit of grass was mowed the next day!) and just lovely people in general. And if you like dogs, Darcy is a ball of energy and will definitely make your day better!

Overall amazing stay and the best campsite I’ve been to, will definitely come back!

Mi è piaciuto: Wow! James and Viv have really created something special here at The Rounds. The bell tent was perfect and so well decorated. They are had thought of the smallest detail. We had a log fire each night on the small firepit which was perfect! The big shared barn area and showers were immaculate and very cleverly designed. They even had phone charging points for those that can’t live without their phone!
We will be back soon!

Mi è piaciuto: The Rounds has been our absolute favourite on our UK tour. The facilities are stunning and beautifully maintained by Viv and James. The location is an ideal hub if you are looking to explore the southern coast of Wales. Viv and James are amazing hosts who have made an incredible space to share. The star of the show is little Darcy who gives the best cuddles! If we are ever in the area we know where to stay!

Mi è piaciuto: An excellent site with fantastic views and great facilities, even a large indoor space with kitchen, good to escape to if its a bit wet outside. Hosts,James and Vivien where really friendly and helpful. We took a boat trip to Caldey Island, which you can see from the site and don't miss Laugharne, the home of Dylon Thomas, it's truly a beautiful place. All in all a truly stylish site, and lots to see in the area. Will surely stop there again .

Mi è piaciuto: Lovely hosts and fantastic shower/toilet facilities - Beautifully furnished and hot shower! Parking area close to camping, and grass area was smooth / pebble free. Had the privilege of being the first ever guest and was a last minute booking in a solo camp so didn’t use the beautiful fire pit / picnic / communal areas - but can see how they’d be a great feature on a group trip!! Beautiful morning birdsong as an added bonus. Convenient for Pendine sands (15min drive). Looks to be a beautiful site.

Non mi è piaciuto: Not so much dislike, just little comments - make sure you take the google map pin from pitch up as the entrance isn’t super obvious, and I was arriving in daylight. Value wasn’t 5* as I was solo camping but would be great value for larger group booking at the same price - cost per pitch (this is common though so not a fault here). No genuine dislikes from me :-)
