Mi è piaciuto: Peacfull and spacious pitch

Non mi è piaciuto: Toilet and shower facilities are poor, only 3 toilets and 3 showers which are like portable toilets.
If you want to clean your teeth you need to use the small sink next to the toilet as no basins within the showers.
Nothing to dry your hands on after the toilet.
There are also no pot washing facilities.
Also this site is not wheelchair or mobility scooter accessible as the ground is all uneven gravel.
For the price we have paid it’s poor compared to the others we have stayed at this week.
If I had known how poor the site was I would have chosen somewhere else.

Mi è piaciuto: Warm welcome especially from Izzy at the restaurant when we had a great meal of fish and chips when we arrived after a long drive,(and a lovely pint of lager). Steve who was working on the roof of the new toilet block was so friendly and welcoming.
The site is in a different league to the last time we arrived and is so much improved.
Loads of space between pitches and very nice shower block.

Non mi è piaciuto: too much gravel hardstanding which was a pain as it was dry and dusty, but thats it.

Non mi è piaciuto: considering that the site was recently opened 1) with the excessive amount of gravel the site seems cold and uncomfortable 2) the sanitary facilities consist of containers like at a mass event,

Mi è piaciuto: Friendly check in. Spacious pitches, with new privacy screens being developed with new plants between them. Would benefit from more toilet/shower facilities if the site was busy, although it was very quiet when we were there.

Non mi è piaciuto: We booked into here as a campervan campsite as we finished the NC500, and they charged us £35, a relatively high rate considering the unfinished state of the place. When we got there the campsite is essentially a large gravel area, like a rough unfinished car park.

The tiny toilet block (unheated) was still being built and only had 1 working shower with limited hot water, and three tiny plastic unheated modular toilets. It’ll freeze solid in winter. There was no dish wash area, and the electric hook up had a cash limit. Very very poor value considering other sites we had been on.

The Resort site appears to be essentially a place to sell static caravans and lodges….and not a campsite, which I think is a recent afterthought.

Reception was helpful, but did not have any suggestions for the lack of facilities…in fact she shrugged and suggested we wash our dirty plates in the shower.

The campsite is an unfinished car park and is not fit to be marketed as such.

Non mi è piaciuto: Was expecting a hard level standing but it was gravel.
The showers were clean but need a more spacious cubicle (to include an area for drying and getting dressed). There was only one good sized shower with space to dry off others too small

Mi è piaciuto: Friendly staff, good size pitches, black water dump and fresh water available. Close enough to town to walk.

Non mi è piaciuto: Bit pricey, showers were not good, only one out of 2 machines working in laundrette.

Mi è piaciuto: Ruhig gelegen, gutes Restaurant am Platz.Personal sehr freundlich

Non mi è piaciuto: WC Anlage und Duschen sehr spärlich, ziemlich kalt dort. Plätze zwar eben, aber nur geschottert und ziemlich abseits gelegen. Sieht so aus, als ob sich alles noch im Aufbau befindet.

Mi è piaciuto: Easy check-in, good communication via email and from the lady at reception. Large pitches for motorhomes. Easy access to Fort Augustus, Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal.

Non mi è piaciuto: There are not enough toilets and showers for the number of pitches. We were advised of on going works before we arrived but shocked to find three working toilets and only three showers. We didn’t use the showers on the last morning as we saw a couple take their dogs into the showers to clean them rather than use the fresh water taps. A little respect for other campers would have been nice, unable to report as reception was closed.

Mi è piaciuto: Very dog friendly, lovely new showers, managers of the site were very friendly and told us nice walks to go on. Is two minute walk into the town.

Non mi è piaciuto: Price for two dogs was 24 for the stay was expensive
