Hare and Hounds at the top of the road served an excellent carvery every lunchtime and evening.

Non mi è piaciuto No lights in showers had to take our own lamps. Whilst shower tray and curtain were clean and water hot enough and at a good pressure, the cubicles were very shabby. Walls and ceiling were wet resulting in dripping and staining. Ventilation was from a caravan type push up vent which dripped constantly. We had two evenings/mornings of heavy rain and even with the vents closed the rainwater dripped heavily to the point where getting dried and dressed was almost impossible.
The toilets were clean but the sanitary bin in the ladies were not emptied the whole of our four days stay.
The elsan point was just a covered hole with no water to rinse. The pot washing area was out in the open with only cold water available and food debris in the plug hole.
The owner/manager seemed to disappear after two days.
The walk into Ottery St Mary was very steep on a narrow, busy road with no pavement.

Mi è piaciuto We loved it.
The field is flat and we can park our car next to our tent so making it easier to use the car as storage.
The place is not crowded and facilities are cleaned daily.
Sleeping is enjoyable because not noisy and surface is stable

Mi è piaciuto Massive clear pitches very clean and very quiet . I loved the fact that the pitches were mown out so no one could can park over your pitch .. The owner was so friendly and helpful . Will definitely be going back

Mi è piaciuto Huge pitches with meadow surrounds peaceful and beautiful views of the trees . Friendly staff

Mi è piaciuto Very nice and clean, toilet and shower blocks were very clean and tidy.

The camp who ran the site(sorry I can't remember his name) was very helpful and friendly on arrival.

Fire pit delivered every night.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely big pitches that are assigned and clean facilities. Great for looking at the stars and some tranquillity. Staff were available if needed but left you to it.

Non mi è piaciuto Our pitch was on a bit of a slope and very shaded which meant it was freezing at night. The ground was rock solid but this was probably due to the weather.

Mi è piaciuto What a beautiful spot this is. Really well laid out with very spacious flat pitches cut out of the meadow grass. Surrounded by trees and very peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable. The facilities are top notch for this kind of wild camping. Showers powerful and stay on (no 30 second timers!!). Loos spotlessly clean. There’s also washing ip facilities and plenty of recycling facilities. Although this was a short visit this time, I could see there are some walking routes from the site. Firepits and wood are available to hire too.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful spacious pitches mown out of longer grass, surrounded by woodland. Very peaceful, close to plenty of places to visit. Great value with decent, clean showers and loos.

Non mi è piaciuto Small thing, but the position of the taps relative to the small sinks made it quite hard to actually get my hands under the water!

Mi è piaciuto Spacious pitches, not overcrowded, clean toilets and showers, very handy for towns/villages, and beaches in area. Feels very rural but close to amenities. This is hands down the best site I’ve stayed at in the world just down to the fact you don’t feel hemmed in with other campers. The forest around the site and the sections of long grass that divide the sites. Absolutely loved the fire pits which I took full advantage of and the manager on site was a great bloke, very friendly, and a pleasure to deal with, especially after I got a bit of a scare due to pitch up getting my name wrong and initially thinking I didn't have a booking. I would 100% stay at this place again when in Devon and recommend it to everyone.
