Mi è piaciuto: Before arriving we had a text with clear instructions on what roads to take and what not to. On arrival we were met by Hazel with a friendly welcome chat, pointing out toilets and showers. Very simple but clean and perfectly adequate toilets and outdoor showers. A bit ‘wild west’ but showers were clean, warm and had enough space, light hooks and shelves. The view from the field would have been lovely had the weather been clearer but at least it wasn’t raining until we left. Plenty of space and park anywhere on the field. Hazel was so helpful with directions to the excellent Valley View cafe and farm shop where we had a nice cooked breakfast from excellent, friendly staff. Also visited the 13c Journey’s End pub nearby for excellent food and atmosphere. Kingsbridge worth a visit as is Salcombe. Again Hazel gave directions to avoid the many tight lanes.

Non mi è piaciuto: Nothing really. Bit exposed when windy but nothing more than to be expected.

Mi è piaciuto: A quiet campsite, with great views. No light pollution, so on a clear night we could see the Milky Way. Walking distance to local shop and pub. Friendly hosts.

We often look up at night and are amazed how many shooting stars we have seen over the years. We always recommend visitors bring a torch so that those who enjoy star gazing can do it with no light pollution.

Mi è piaciuto: The campsite was so private, we felt so safe all night.
The lady who runs it was so welcoming and her farm was kept immaculate.
The showers were warm and toilet always stocked.

Free to arrive and depart as suited us
Amazing views
Friendly owners
Basic but perfectly good toilets
Very basic showers, which we didn't try as it was raining and they were a bit draughty! (we only stayed one night, so not an issue, but don't expect luxury)
This is a working farm, which was lovely

Mi è piaciuto: A delightful place to stay in and would highly recommend it for solo female travellers. Felt very safe.

The owners were so kind and welcoming. Very hospitable too. I also appreciated that they allowed you to take the space you needed for your tent, car etc.

A perfect location for star gazing, with stunning views, close to the beaches and great walks.

A very private and peaceful camp site - a home away from home.
I’m already looking forward to going back!

Mi è piaciuto: Peaceful, spacious, close to the beaches, shop nearby, simple but perfectly good facilities.

Surprisingly good signal, we were trying to help a friend get Oasis tickets and had no trouble with the connection.

Mi è piaciuto: Great site. We wanted something as close to wild camping as possible, with still having facilities and this was perfect. Hot showers and toilets very clean. The owner was really helpful and came to meet us when we arrived. We’d definitely come back!
