Landews Meadow Farm is a peaceful glamping site with just a single shepherd’s hut on a small organic farm in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about a mile from the little village of Challock. This is a splendid spot for walks, as several lovely walking trails and bridleways run from just outside the farm gate – you can walk all the way to Canterbury on the North Downs Way if you’re feeling really energetic, or take the 45-minute woodland stroll to the local pub if you’re after a more leisurely time. Lots of other Kent attractions are easily accessed from here too: Leeds Castle, Whitstable and Chartwell are all good options, as are outings to the nearby breweries and vineyards. Back at base, you’ll be staying in a lovely hand-made shepherd’s hut with a private garden and a deck overlooking the swimming lake and the woods and open fields beyond. It’s also got its own private heated shower room, and a compact kitchen area with a two-ring gas hob, butler sink, microwave and small fridge. A table tennis room is close by, and hut guests have reserved times each day for taking a bubbling dip in the hot tub.
