Campeggio semplice e ben tenuto nel Peak District, apprezzato per l'atmosfera tranquilla e spaziosa. Proprietari cordiali e disponibili. Toilette portatili pulite e lavandino. Libertà di scelta del posto, falò, viste mozzafiato. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Mancano docce, a volte problemi con le toilette portatili o rumori da altri campeggiatori.

The absolute peace and tranquility and the stunning countryside views. The porta - loos were also really clean and smelt lovely :)
We spoke with the owner who said she kept a maximum of 20 pitches so the site never feels busy. There were only 10 other tents when we were there and only 4 others when we initially arrived :)

Dal gestore: Thank you for your review. I’m sorry it was a bit too windy for you. We call ourselves a wild campsite because we are a pop up campsite and we are open to the elements. However because we don’t have any trees to help block the wind you do get 360 degree stunning views.
A great find for a wild campsite (with toilets!)

Mi è piaciuto Great wild campsite in a beautiful area. It was very quiet when we stayed but probably due to the weather not being great. We stayed in the Bertie Bell tent which was perfect for our needs. Toilets were clean and there’s a sink for washing up etc. Monyash is about a mile away - there’s a good pub serving traditional food - we ate and drank there. Good walks in Lathkill Dale.

Mi è piaciuto We liked it all. Owners were friendly and did their best to keep the site clean and tidy. The toilets were the nicest/cleanest portable ones we've used.
The field isn't over run, think there was around 10 campers and everyone got to pick their own spot. Lovely and relaxing, would definitely recommend.

Quiet, basic site - good value

Mi è piaciuto I stayed here with my preschool aged child for three nights. It is a quiet, basic camp, which is why I chose it. The owner left us to it but was easy to contact if necessary. The portaloos were extremely clean.
We would happily return, hopefully with better weather next time!

Perfect peaceful get away

Mi è piaciuto Perfect off grid escape with beautiful views. Bags of space to pitch up. You can use your car to unload and then park a few 100m away or so. Having minimal cars made it perfect for my two young sons to crawl and run about without worry.
Facilities are basic (as advertised) but kept very clean. The owner popped round everyone early evening to offer firewood for sale if needed. We didn’t take this up as the kids were exhausted from the days fun and already in bed but lots of people did take up the offer and it was nice to see everyone with their little campfires.
Non mi è piaciuto Nothing - just don’t expect phone signal or fancy facilities. This was a very peaceful off grid experience.

The road is a country road which often means that they are unlit at night.
We are pleased you enjoyed the village once you got there though.
