Whitemead Caravan Park

Kedvelték: Excellent toilet/shower block, exceptionally clean, grass cut short, site kept to a high standard, rubbish bins in various places on site all of which emptied regularly, very helpful staff, washer/dryer, on site shop, lovely dog walk route along the river, good tv signal, great pub next door which serves good food, train/bus station 100yds away, fish and chip shop just down the road.

Kedvelték: Peaceful and great meet and greet to show us to the pitch. Very helpful and friendly.
Excellent facilities which were very clean and well kept.cleaned regularly.
Well maintained pitches.
Great situ. Dog walks from our pitch to the river. Train station and bus routes on the doorstep.
Pub next to site and shops etc 5 min walk

Kedvelték: We tent pitched at Whitemean caravan park for 2nts earlier this week. Lone parent, two children and two dogs. We also had two other family members book and come along to join us, in their own tent pitch.
The staff/family were really helpful and pitched us close together for our ease and convenience. The check in, site navigation, and rules were all straightforward and efficient. The site itself is immaculate. Facilites immaculate. Alot of pride has gone into the site and the day to day running of it.
Decent, peaceful and respectful campers & holiday makers will do well here and appreciate here. Highly recommended.
Ideal base location for exploring the Jurassic coast which was our main aim as a family.

Kedvelték: The cleanest campsite we have ever stayed. So peaceful and the staff was.very friendly. The location was unbeatable. We have had a very pleasant stay and look.forward to going back. My daughter also enjoyed it very much. Especially the playground where we could see from our tent.

Kedvelték: We stayed here for two nights at the weekend and couldn't fault our stay at all. All long-term campers, as well as the staff that greeted us on arrival, were lovely. The gentleman who showed us to our pitch gave us information on everything we needed to know and the ladies in the office were bubbly and friendly.

We particularly liked the radio in the shower/toilet block. Such a small touch but brightens everybody's mood and gives you something to jig along to if you require a midnight wee!

Pitches were clean and flat, the place was well maintained, plenty of bins, and a lovely walk down the track to the river no more than 5 minutes. Of course, the fantastic weather was a lovely addition to our stay but sunshine or not, this place would've ticked all of our boxes.

Nem kedvelték: ((Absolutely not a dislike)) For those that tend not to take food with them, bear in mind there isn't a massive amount of food places to take food away from. There are lovely pubs nearby and a Chinese but, particularly with our dog, we were looking for places we could return to camp to eat! We were happy to have the lovely chippy down the road for two nights in a row but there is little to no deliveroo/ubereats. Something to bear in mind!

For next time, please do visit us in reception to pick up some leaflets of local eateries and take away places in the area that do their own deliveries to our campsite (not through JustEat, Deliveroo and UberEats) such as The 29029 Restaurant, a lovely Indian restaurant, and Street Pizza for Italian pizzas, pasta and the like, to name a just a couple. Our staff have tried them all and can recommend each one personally. ;)

Kedvelték: On arrival we were greeted by Shane who took us under his wings. We drove on the park, shame unhitched the caravan, popped it onto his little tractors and put it onto our pitch. All we had to do was level up, connect the electrics and fill the water. Service was just brilliant.
Shane kept popping back toake sure everything was ok and we were comfortable. Then we met the owners, Roy and Jill who were so nice and jolly. Overall a brilliant site to stay in. The toilets and shower blocks were that clean you could easily eat your dinner off the floors. Please don't hesitate to stay here, you will be pleased you did.

Kezelői megjegyzés: Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that our showers and toilets met your with your approval. We take a lot of pride in the cleanliness of our facilities and the overall appearance of our campsite and appreciation of our hard work never goes amiss.

Even though it isn't an issue raised by many of our guests, we are sorry to hear that you found the sound of a few passing cars and the occasional train, disturbing, especially since our guests usually comment on how quiet and tranquil our site is.

Also, with regards to our CCTV system, we would like to point out that the camera you are referring to is actually aimed at the entrance gates to our middle and bottom fields and it just so happen that the pitch you were on, could be seen in the distance. Our CCTV cameras are a crucial part of our security system - an aspect most of our guests appreciate and find very reassuring. Could it be that you felt it intrusive because our warden found you overnighting in your car rather than your tent, regardless of it being made quite clear on your arrival that it is not allowed on our site? Since your actions were in breach of our Terms and Conditions, we could have asked you to leave, but we are not in the business of ruining anybodys' holidays so, instead, we allowed you to remain on site, providing that you refrain from sleeping in your vehicle for the rest of your stay. Another site might not have been so accommodating.

We would like to thank you again for staying with us.

Kedvelték: We loved Whitemead. It is a quiet spot, very accessible, with lovely owners and brilliant facilities in terms of bathrooms and a washing-up area. It is also ideally located for visiting the many places on the Dorset coast.
