Want to book yourself a break and do some good for the world at the same time? What an excellent idea – and one that you can bring to reality when you stay at Pet Rescue Fundraising Camp Site, a five-acre site in the Denbighshire countryside just outside the village of Dyserth. Profits from stays go towards funding a pet rescue charity centre, so perhaps it’s no surprise that dogs are welcome to join you for a little holiday here. Doggy daycare is available for those who need it, and all dogs must be kept on a lead and supervised at all times (and you’ll need proof of up-to-date vaccinations for your pet to stay on site to ensure that all pets on site, including the site's rescue pets, stay protected from illness). This location makes a splendid spot for exploring north Wales – a cycle path runs past the entrance with a link to the North Wales Coastal Route, and there are plenty of walks around too. Rhyl and Prestatyn are both about 10 minutes’ drive away for beach times, and there are castles, gardens and all sorts of other things to fill days with. You’ll probably get a bit of a warm glow from knowing that you’re supporting a charitable cause by staying here – and that’s likely to grow even stronger when you see the facilities that have been provided. A washing-up area, toilets and showers are all included, and you can boost your break even further by hiring a firepit, grass heat shields (these are required for firepits or barbecues) or a windbreak. Logs can be purchased on site for the firepits. And that’s not all – there’s also a catering area that serves up cooked breakfasts, lunches, dinners and drinks (hot, cold and alcoholic) as well as running events like pizza nights and hotpot gatherings. The catering is open from Friday evening to Sunday morning breakfast.

Electricity is metered on site at £1 per kWh. A £20 electricity charge deposit will be taken on arrival, £6 of which is non-refundable. Any overages must be paid at check-out or any unused balance will be refunded. Water onsite is metered and it is therefore not possible to fill motorhome water tanks or paddling pools. Guests are asked to use drinking, shower and washing-up water economically. A breathable groundsheet is required for all tents/awnings/gazebos.

The sites very open and the wind does not help when in a tent with no cover around you . But can’t blame the staff for this so that’s my only dislike

Your pitch was on our EHU section with a large hedge at the back of you and I believe a motorhome and 2 other tents to act as a buffer, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside with fantastic views so I am afraid it's swing and roundabouts.
I hope it didn't affect your family stay to much with the seasonal weather changing and more winds and storms predicted it's going to be challenging for a lot of campers and other campsite especially in tents, that possible why some site no longer accepts tents on their sites it such a shame.
Hopefully on your next visit the weather will be kinder to you and your family until then safe travels and happy camping

I do apologise for your noisy fellow campers if you had rung the number on your paperwork they would have had a visit from me and reminded of the 10pm Quiet time rules on site.
The road is 60mph but go's down to 40mph sadly people ignore and continue to speed, however there's is a lot of holiday traffic also but we hope it didn't spoil your stay.

A aimé : Lovely location and lovely site with all the amenities needed. It was 2minutes away from small village with two pubs, waterfall and cafe. There was a food van on site and a small shop. Showers were fantastic! Only two but lovely

A aimé : Simple, but well equipped site, which had a pleasant feel to it.
It was well run, and had enough amenities to make our stay a very pleasant experience.
Would definitely book again.

A aimé : The view in the morning is magnificent, the site is simple but effective and in season I can imagine is really nice.

N'a pas aimé: No dislikes, the only thing I would improve is shower space as for a tall guy it was difficult.

The disabled shower unit would perhaps suit you better just ask on your next visit. A aimé : I normally dread going into portaloos, but the ladies one on field two was enough to change my mind. Plenty of toilet roll and sanitiser.
The shower was lovely and warm and the pot wash was splendid. Perfect if you are watching the pennies.

The portaloo's on site 2 are only night time toilets to save a walk to the flushing loo's on site 1. But we are happy you found them clean and still with plenty of loo rolls.

Toilet facilities: 2 units of flushing loos are both sited on site 1. We have taken measurements from each site to the units} site 1 from the furthest pitches on site 1 is 130 meters.
Site 2's furthest (pitch 57) is 250 meters too the flushing toilets. Two portaloo's will be available on site 2 at night, so campers are not too far from a loo.

Would anyone like to hire a portable SELF-SERVICE camping toilet for your pitch? They are available from reception?

Attractions à proximité

Time to hit the coast? Take your bucket and spade to the sandy beaches of Rhyl or Prestatyn (both 10 minutes’ drive), get over to Llandudno (half an hour) to walk on the pier and ride the Great Orme tramway, or continue to Conwy (half an hour) to explore the castle. For rural walks you can stay local for the 15-minute stroll to Dyserth Falls, climb the peaks of the neighbouring Clwydian Range or dip your toes into Snowdonia National Park (40 minutes’ drive). The pretty pathways of Bodnant Garden (half an hour) are well worth a wander too. This being Wales, you’re never far from a castle – the turrets of Rhuddlan Castle (five minutes) are the closest, but TV fans may like to drop in at Gwrych Castle (15 minutes) to see where I’m A Celeb was staged.

Les arrivées tardives doivent être signalées au camping dès que possible. Votre réservation sera maintenue pendant 24 heures. Passé ce délai, la direction se réserve le droit de relouer votre location.
Ni remboursements ni rabais en cas de mauvais temps, d'arrivées tardives ou de départs anticipés.

Chiens

La présentation du carnet de vaccinations de votre chien est obligatoire.
Les chiens doivent être tenus en laisse et rester sous la surveillance constante de leurs maîtres.
Les chiens guide/d'assistance sont acceptés gratuitement sur le site.
