Adventure Pirate

A aimé : Able to have an open fire in which we was able to cook from.
The park is amazing for the children to head off and explore and play.
It's a quiet area with no trouble makers.

N'a pas aimé: Didn't meet anyone that ran the place.
The pitches need better drainage, we camped for a few days and on the first day it rained but we had a constant puddle that wouldn't drain.

You definitely picked a wild weekend to visit — that rain was something else! Normally, our pitches drain really well, but with the sheer amount that came down in one go, even they were struggling to keep up. Thanks for bearing with it!

We were a little surprised by your comment about not seeing anyone who runs the site. During your stay, we were on-site quite a bit — we had birthday parties happening, our holiday club in full swing, and we were up and down the field delivering firewood and keeping the loos clean. Sorry we didn’t cross paths! We try not to disturb guests at their pitches unless needed, as many people come here to relax and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in nature.

Thanks again for your feedback, and we really hope to welcome you back another (drier!) time.

A aimé : Came across adventure pirate and booked to take my 4 year old. He loved his stay and asked when we could go back before we even made it home. The campsite in the forest had a great wildcamp feel and the play area on site was great.

A aimé : I wanted somewhere in the woods where I could have a campfire; this place was perfect for that. The toilets were well-kept, as was the rest of the site, and it was nice to have a wander of the woods, whilst having a morning coffee, and enjoy a swing on the rope swings and say hello to the neighbouring cows (never would have known they were there otherwise - they were silent). Will be staying again.

A aimé : Loved it here. Owner is very welcoming. Lots for the children to doo we stayed in hammocks and there is plenty of places to put them. Highly recomend and will be returning soon. Toilets and showers were clean. And running water on site.

A aimé : We live this camp site pirate adventure , for a start you can have a fire and its the only camp site in Dorset that allows this , secondly the staff james the owner and becks that work there are amazing very friendly , this site even though is the closest your get to wild camping in Dorset it does have showers and toilets along with axe throwing , shooting and archery and also deliver roo with go there , me and my girlfriend spent 4 nights here and will be back next year thank you james and becky

A aimé : The campsite has excellent facilities on site. I also thought that the campsite is very good for children as there are plenty of activities and a play area. I enjoyed my stay because there is so much wildlife to see especially at night in the glistening sky.

A aimé : Great fun place to stay, being allowed camp fires was brilliant, the activities on site were well led and great fun.

The toilets are unfortunately compost but that said they were the nicest compost toilets I’ve ever used.

A aimé : Nice area.
Good parking, spacious, lovely staff for the brief time we actually met.
Even the toilets weren't as scary as they seem once you get used to them haha
Loved having hot running water at the washing up area!
No complaints at all
