A aimé The site was great; served me and my mates really well. Owner and his wife were lovely and very helpful. Lovely site if you’re looking to relax, spend time with friends and family. Can also be a great base camp if you’re looking to explore Wales.

We WILL be returning as we were very very satisfied with our time here.

Réponse du gestionnaire : This is ridiculous. I went around yesterday and spoke to you and you said you were having a great time. Its the responsibility of guests to clear up dog poo. The bin is full cuase its bank holiday weekend. It is being emptied tomorrow.and it is not unkempt. Ive attacehed recent pics.

Local cycle routes suitable for families. Snowden 25 minutes away.
Quiet site away from traffic and the main road.
Fully serviced pitch, with water and electricity.
Well maintained.

I’m confused by the review (August Bank Holiday 2025) saying that the site wasn’t maintained and the grass was too long. We saw the owner cut the grass the night before the weekend and it was short. We stayed at the site 6 days. My family sat on the grass and walked on it barefoot, and other families were enjoying the field too.

Grass was cut across our pitches
Arrived at 2pm, having to wait 15mins to pitch after driving 7hours to get there.
Loud music, drums, electric guitar and singing on couple of nights, had to ring/text owner. Once 11pm and another after 2half hours

The directions are emailed, you decided to use satnav which i guide against
The singing was a one off for a 21st birthday party which i told you about and finished at 10 pm and was a one off
You left your pitch foul. You poured brown waste in the grey waste which i had to personally clear out and left your pitch strewn with rubbish again which i cleared.

N'a pas aimé Unkept pitch to such an extent we were nettled to death trying to pitch up .totally overgrown . Contacted manager regarding the issue who said that he would be back that evening to cut the grass . Which he did but only the grass pitches were done . We offered to move our car and disconnect the electric said but he would be back next day with strimmer . He did come back back 2 days later but our pitch still left untouched ! Our pitch was totally untouched the whole 4 nights we stayed . If you like it simple with just water and electric , this safari type pitch is for you , but I’m afraid NOT for us . This is advertised as a camc cl site we are not in the camc and paid less on pitch up than camc members . Just to let u all

Réponse du gestionnaire : I did mow. Strim and weed kill. But i cant do it when your on pitch. The reaon being there are eldctric cables and it is dangerous to cut around them. I can only do that when clear. I asked you did you want me to mow around you but you werent willing to move your care or cables. The weed killer is strong. I cant do thst when your cooking a bbq or having a fog running round. I mow , strim and weedkill weekly. It grows back quick but thats what happens with a field. Its like painting the gorth bridge

A aimé Site near to Llangefni (with lots of shops, supermarkets and pubs) which is a central location to explore the whole of Anglesey. The owner's directions are spot-on and avoid the twisting one-way system in Llangefni. We managed to get our GPS to replicate the route exactly using the What3words location and putting "via Lidl". The turning off the road is then fine and the gate opening outwards, and hence blocking the road, wasn't a problem for us. The pitches are well set out with plenty of space -- 5 pitches down the left, with trees behind, and looking towards a small open field with trees in the distance. Very quiet and peaceful -- a back to nature experience. Water, electricity and soak away for grey water all worked well. Despite the negative points below, we did enjoy our stay very much and loved our first trip to Anglesey. It won't be our last.

N'a pas aimé We booked last minute (two days before travelling) and had to prompt the owner the afternoon before our departure to send the directions as I like to follow them in Google maps beforehand to be fully prepared. Although the reply was prompt it looked like a standard email, a bit impersonal, and didn't have our name nor did it say who it was from. Also, we never saw anyone working at the site during our one-week stay. No one came to cut the grass, to check the elsan or bins. The grass was too long even at the start and looked as if it had been only trimmed, never properly cut, as large plants were cut off part way down. There were also lots of uncollected grass clippings starting to decompose as well as leaves around the elsan point. The gravel pitches are big for a caravan, we don't have an awning, but not enough space to park the car. So, the car will be partly on the long grass. When we arrived there was only one other caravan and no-one at all for our remaining 4 nights. For us this, coupled with seeing no-one working on the site, made it feel a bit "isolated". The site gate is not locked, there is no barrier and, apparently, no security cameras. The three recycling rubbish bins seem adequate, but we saw nowhere for glass -- we brought ours home -- and unfortunately the plastics/tins bin was half full of glass with a sticker from the council saying it couldn't be collected because of "contaminated waste/no glass", dated 4/6/25 -- our visit was early July -- we also brought our plastics home. We read other reviews saying it's "uncared for" and we agree. There has to be a balance between natural and organized but we don't think it's quite right at the moment. It was too much like "wild camping with utilities" for us. A little bit of regular site maintenance would go a long way. Done thoughtfully, it doesn't need to break the "back to nature" feel which, of course, is important. In our opinion the site fees, for the level of care and attention, are too high compared to others on Anglesey but a bit more care could make it a better option. We have added lots of comments as with a bit more TLC this could be a much loved and regularly revisited site.

Theres plenty of people here that love the quiet the peace the freedom… its kept as cheap as possible for people to enjoy.

A aimé This is a lovely quiet location, no traffic noise and not far from a busy town with supermarkets and everything you could need. This site is off the beaten track and satnav will not get you there, but the owner sends good instructions. There is a 4g signal for phones. The owner communicated well before our visit.

N'a pas aimé The grass was in need of cutting, the pitches are covered in weeds and the edges are hard to locate. The gate is very close to the road, luckily only a quiet road, but not great having to block the road whilst you have to open the gate and close when leaving (especially when towing). Even with the instructions, it was hard to locate the site, the sign is on the gate and is easy to miss.

Its been so busy my gardener has not been able to get in ( imagine the furroar if he was using weedkillwr on peoples pitches with animsls and children BBQ ing etc) or disturbing the tranquility with his ride on mower!! We need a day when empty as a bit longer grass and a few weeds is a small prive to pay for its unique peaceful atmosphere. However we hope to get a day this week and have back to its usual immaculate standard. BTW the electricity is an extra, not included in pitch- i didnt raise it but its what everyone else does …
