A aimé : Generous pitches, with gravel and grass. The pub is a great asset - didn’t try the food but the drinks (and cocktails) were top notch. Was a bit concerned about whether the music would travel but needn’t have bothered - was a pleasant background blur from the pitch. Really great showers. Not an area I spend much time in but would stay here again in a heartbeat.

N'a pas aimé: Splitting hairs.. but the steps to the bathroom were steep. Only way to dry hands was by using toilet paper. The bathroom doors didn’t show whether occupied from the outside & an extra hook or two for clothes would’ve been helpful.. but really, no fundamental issues & one of the better sites I’ve stayed at.

A aimé : The yurt and hot tub area where very clean. Complimentary water and discount voucher for the pub were an added bonus. No problem with wifi at the yurt.

The pub food was great and the staff were brilliant

A aimé : What a fabulous time I had with my granddaughter. Lovely site. Spotless shower and toilet facilities. Friendly staff and great food in the cafe. Planning my return trip very soon

A aimé : Nice food the pub. Very clean toilets. Nice quiet nights sleep.

A aimé : Fab place with very friendly staff. Very welcoming of dogs. Pub and food were also great and we will definitely be returning.

A aimé : Friendly welcome, clean site & facilities. Clear instructions to pitch. Fantastic range of food options available & lovely ambience in the pub and the cafe. Lovely walks close by & everywhere dog friendly

A aimé : A lovely friendly pub stop over with great food, including a fantastic breakfast. Facilities were clean and well maintained with level well drained pitches. Definitely recommend.

A aimé : Great site with good walks around. Onsite pub and cafe also good. Easy check in and out.

N'a pas aimé: Caters for wedding parties with a big marquee on same field as tents and camper vans. We were only made aware of a wedding after booking, we didnt think it would be much of an issue as the pub owners garanteed that the music would be over by 11pm. 11pm as promised the marquee closed n music lights off. But then noise from the guests went on till 2.30am from inside the pub, music still blaring, guests shouting, screaming, whistling etc. 😡 i was about to call the pub and request that the owners politely asked the wedding guests to try keep noise down at least but my hubby bet me to it and shouted them to shut up at the top of his voise from far end of the field to which they heard clearly and seemed to av worked. Its not for other paying guests to control noise from pub customers it should be down to the proprietors of the pub. Will not be returning, only our 2nd time camping and my sister and partner 1st to which has put them off going camping again. Myself and hubby know its just a noisy campsite with no noise restrictions so it hasnt put us off, we will just choose more wisely on our next camping trip.
