Draughton Heights Campsite

A aimé : I took my partner here for his first camping trip, and we had such a great time despite his flu. The site is super peaceful and really clean, there wasn’t a scrap of rubbish anywhere! You can tell it’s really well looked after.

The views were amazing, and we got to watch a beautiful sunset while enjoying our BBQ. There are bins dotted all over the site, so no long treks in the morning to get rid of rubbish, which was a nice bonus.

The toilet block was warm and had everything we needed. I had a nice hot shower in the morning, which made things feel a bit more luxurious. We noticed the camping pods too—they looked lovely, and we’d definitely think about trying one next time.

Overall, it’s a really pretty site in a great location. It almost felt like wild camping, but with proper toilets and showers! We’ll definitely be back. Hopefully catch it mid week again as there weren’t lots of other campers - we really appreciated how quiet it was.

A aimé : Very clean and accessible facilities - fridge, freezer, washer, two sinks with spray and washing up liquid. Kettle with hot drinks available. Charging points in kitchen to charge phones. Toilets and showers were very clean - facilities block within a minute walk from all pitches only a small site but very spacious. Beautiful scenic views from every pitch. Lake to do wild swimming if you dare. Host was very friendly and checked in with us to make sure we were okay.

A aimé : very clean facilities with free fridge/freezer use. nicely laid out site with level pitches.

A aimé : Stunning views and plenty of space to pitch meant we could choose our privacy – a real plus with a 7-month-old! This family-friendly campsite is a gem. The immaculate bathrooms were a pleasant surprise, and the owners were so lovely and helpful. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. Couldn't fault it, a really happy experience!

A aimé : The location of this site is 10/10.The views are spectacular!Although it has the potential to get very windy due to the fact it is quite exposed,there are plenty of options to take shelter from the wind!!The owners are super friendly and very helpful.They are working extremely hard in making this site a success.The road down to the site is quite steep but it doesn’t pose a problem!We only went for one night in our camper van but will definitely be returning in the near future.A real gem of a site and a great find.Well done to the owners for creating a fabulous site with excellent facilities!!

A aimé : Hands down the best campsite in Yorkshire! I’ve never seen cleaner facilities in my 10 years of camping, And the views are just something else. The site has its own kitchen for campers with a fridge freezer/washing machine/kettle etc.. The owners are absolutely lovely and very accommodating. There’s always someone on hand if you need anything. Draughton heights is a hidden gem! All I can say don’t hesitate just book it you won’t be disappointed! I will be returning very frequently that’s for sure 🙂
