A aimé : Great location, within walking distance of town and seafront (about 30 mins to the sea). Friendly welcome on arrival and plenty of space to set up.

A aimé : Peaceful, big flat site, clean facilities, each pitch has own bin. Friendly owner.

A aimé : Great site. Quiet, well maintained with a friendly owner. Clean toilet block and shower. I will definitely book again.

no real clear instructions where to pitch up.

No signs saying where the front entrance was, just “follow the road” or where to sign In

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thanks for your review. Great point re signs, we have just ordered a load of directional signs and they will be installed very soon.

It's a free form camping field so you can just pitch up where you like on it rather than being restricted to a set pitch size. This is relly good for those with multiple cars etc. and for those wanting to stay a long way away from other campers.

It's not that far from eklsewhere, it's actually the clsoest campsite to Scarborough centre and beaches, bith within an approx 30 minute walk.

We are pretty new and always looking to improve, so as well as much better signage, Wi-Fi is coming soon too.

A aimé : Fantastischer Stellplatz in der Natur, Feuerstellen mit Holz kann man mieten. Duschen und Toiletten einfach jedoch sehr sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Lage am Fluss ideal.
Auch mit 7m Wohnmobil gut erreichbar!

A aimé : Great site and once greeted by Trigger, we were left alone. Facilities were clean, water was roasting.

Trigger is amazing and very welcoming.
Sorry about your weather, you've been unlucky as the weather has been unbelievably good so far this season.

A aimé : Very large field with plenty of space. Great views over Scarborough and lovely walks nearby.
Toilets clean enough, showers ok.

N'a pas aimé: Field cut whilst long which resulted in loads of dead grass which you end up dragging through into camping area. Not a major dislike however worth mentioning .

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thanks for the great review. Apologies for the grass after the cut. The camping field is so large, we need to do it by tractor whenever we can borrow one.

A aimé : Walk into Scarborough. The location was good for a 45 minute walk into town (hilly). Nice open space.

N'a pas aimé: Check online and avoid on a race weekend. Grown ups urinating behind their vans in broad daylight, loud music and large groups. Adults and kids still up making a lot of noise at 2.30am. No staff walking around checking on anything. Tents, rubbish and BBQ's all left on site after people had left. Staff should have done more but they didn't leave their little cabin - to busy checking spectators in for the race.

Réponse du gestionnaire : It does certainy get busy on race weekends, especially on bank holiday weekends as it's a very popular attraction and location. We do highlight when race weekends are on, but for many, that is the main attraction of the site, but you are right, the character can go from very peaceful to very busy on race weekends, so best to be aware. I am sure if you came back on a non race weekend and non-bank hoiliday weekend, you would find the peace you are looking for.

Also, our main man Trigger who takes good care of everyone races on the race weekends so you didn't get to experience the great care he noemally takes of all of our guests on non-race days.

A aimé : Very large area to pitch , would recommend ensuring you peg tents well , as it's very windy , toilets all good, was quiet when we stayed .
