A aimé This is a lovely little campsite with clean facilities and fairly level pitches. There's even a decent little covered area with a table and chairs should the weather turn. The location is perfect too, away from main roads which meant there was no background traffic noise.

N'a pas aimé There is only one toilet and shower. Not a problem when I stayed, but might be tricky if the site was full.

A aimé Had the entire site to myself and my dog (don't blame people skipping camping this weekend during storms) but it made for an extra peaceful bit of time alone & extra freedom for the mutt :)

Unique mix of facilities:
Comfortable Shepherds Hut, extremely comfy and spacious double bed. Separate private bathroom in converted horse box (cool and quirky) nice and clean with hot running water. Covered outdoor outdoor kitchen area. BBQ & fire pit and some firewood also provided.

Crisps and local apple juice provided on arrival and milk in fridge.

Nice collection of books and a good welcome pack with info on local walks. Also had menus / contacts for local take aways which delivered to site, which was really handy in a remote location during bad weather. Would normally cook outdoors but the food delivery services were a god send during Storm Amy.

The site is located within some great local scenery. set among local orchards. Our neighbours, the sheep in the next field were nice to see.

Great drives out into the Shropshire hills & Ludlow nearby.

N'a pas aimé not a dislike, but took a while to find the fridge.. it's situated externally behind the kitchen unit... just an FYI for future guests

A aimé Everything, the peace and quiet you get, the shower area, which is a beautiful idea. How clean the facilities were and how friendly the owners are.

Come prepared with everything as we did and you will enjoy throughly your stay.

We definitely plan on coming back!

I definitely have this also in mind as a solo trip to escape the grind.

A aimé Stayed one night in a camper, what a great place, loved it and will be back. Lots of thought has gone into everything here, brilliant undercover area with cosy seating and things for children to do.

A aimé Very quiet, good value. Enjoyed the ‘pop up pub’ next door at Commonwood Farm, and visit to Berrington Hall (NT). Would certainly stay again if in the area.

A aimé Quiet surroundings.....eventually. Shower was great.

N'a pas aimé Noise from pizza party at neighbouring farm. Would not have booked if we'd known about it. Just wanted a quiet barbecue and catch up with friends.
Also, composting toilet was poorly designed.

Réponse du gestionnaire : thank you for taking the time to leave a review, so sorry your found the pizza night at the neighbouring farm noisy, its only open between 5 to 9pm every other Friday through the summer, and the music is usually folk, country or sea shanties, so not very loud we do advertise that it is on, as many of our guests enjoy the short stroll along the lane to the neighbouring farm, and the opportunity to sample their local produce, its a pity you found the composting toilet poorly designed, we have been told on many occasions that it is one of the best composting toilets our guests have used, and as we are adding an additional toilet for the next season we would be very interested to know what you found poorly designed so that we could take that into account with the new toilet, best wishes Ian and Emma

A aimé The quietness, seeing birds of prey and plenty of butterflies. Oh and the facilities are good too and friendly owners.
