Make your way to Dordrecht (20 minutes’ drive), where the old centre will introduce you to the city’s past. The Court of Netherlands (20 minutes) divulges some Dutch history, while the Dordrecht Minster or Church of Our Lady (15 minutes) is a fine piece of Gothic architecture. Those of you who are looking to pick up some souvenirs or source some bargains might want to shop down the lengthy Voorstraat (15 minutes) street too. With Rotterdam only a little further on, your itinerary might include ogling over butterflies and fish at Rotterdam Zoo (35 minutes) or sauntering over the Erasmusbrug (half an hour), a cable and bascule bridge that joins the two sides of the city.
