Fans of the water are likely to find an affinity here, as this riverside site is seven kilometres south of Lake Garda and 15 minutes’ drive away from its southside shores.
Plus, as it's on the border between Lombardy and Veneto, it's likely you'll fall in love with Juliet’s stone balcony and the historic city squares in Verona, 35 minutes’ drive away.
The Mincio river flows right past the site, so pick a good fishing spot among the greenery and see what you can reel in. There are two large swimming pools on site if you fancy a dip in a pool at short notice, including waterslides and paddle-worthy shallow areas that are great for kids.
Once you’ve had your fill of water-based activities, try to master the climbing course on site or challenge the family to see who can putt the most holes on the miniature golf course. There’s a zipwire and outdoor playground too where kids can blow off any extra steam.
Tummy grumbling? There are restaurants on site that will help you to replenish any low energy stores. Afterwards, let the food go down while you relax on a sun lounger beside the pool or hire a bicycle on site and pedal around the surrounding Riserva Naturale Statale.

Mountain bike or hike your way around Lake Garda’s shores as far as you like, but don’t forget to stop by Gardaland Resort (15 minutes' drive), where you can find great views of Lake Garda from the top of a rollercoaster. This theme park also has an aquarium, log flume and rapids, among other rides sure to get your heart racing.
Lake Garda keeps many more attractions (and plenty of the historic type) on its shores. Aside from paddleboarding, swimming, kayaking and all manner of watersports in the lake itself, you can also play like royalty in an old Italian fortress at the Sirmione Castle (half an hour) overlooking the shores. Later, dive into the neighbouring ruins of a Roman villa at the Archaeological site of Grotte di Catullo (35 minutes).
How about a wine tasting tour in the vineyards of Lazise (20 minutes)? Afterwards, the Aquardens (35 minutes) makes a nice stop on the way back for a soak in a warming thermal bath. Or why not drop into the nearby Parco Natura Viva (20 minutes) and greet the variety of wild animals inside?
