Quiet site with taking 2 only bookings.
Private loos.
Super dog friendly.

Me gustó: Really lovely quite campsite which felt very peaceful.
Penny couldn't be more helpful as a host and made us feel most welcome. Great location for seeing things locally. Good, basic facilities. All that we needed. Great waste facilities with great thought for being as low impact to environment as possible.
Really loved the little hut with the message board, fridge/freezer, local information, fresh produce and honesty box.
We camped , but had the chance to look at the glamping facilities and would love to try them in the future.

Me gustó: Such a lovely and peaceful place. Amazing private woodland, kitchen space very comfy even when it is raining you have the possibility of lighting a fire
Penny and Jon are exceptionally kind with lot of attentions. I really felt privileged there.

Me gustó: 1) The owners, Penny and Dave! I was met with a hugely warm & friendly welcome, despite the pouring rain. Was given a tour & had everything explained perfectly.
2) The vibe - tranquil & peaceful, and so perfect for campers who want to keep their footprint small but also like creature comforts. Only 2 tents can pitch at any one time on the tent paddock, so that each pitch has sole access to their own composting loo (which are fab & are cleaned regularly...and no, they're not at all whiffy!)
3) The thoughtfulness & care that has gone into making this the perfect hideaway campsite - everything blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature; no stark lighting, but minimal & welcomed LED strips which do a great job. Recycling station. Sink with running hot water, washing up liquid & dischcloth. Food shed with fridge/freezer, fresh F/R eggs, marshmallows, flapjacks, freshly picked herbs for campers to use in their cooking, also daily-updated tide times and wildlife info.

Me gustó: Everything thing Penny met us on arriving and gave us a choice of pitches we had our own compost toilet and the shower and washing facilities were shared

Me gustó: Penny and Jon were exceptional hosts: welcoming, kind (lent us a dog bed for example) and really looked after us. The site is beautiful and secluded and very quiet. The facilities are squeaky clean and we loved the extra touches (herbs, flowers, penny’s Welsh cakes). The area is stunning too. We’d love to come back.

Cleanliness
Lots of lovely little touches like fresh wild flowers, condiments, welcome basket, natural bug repellent, fairy lights, fresh garden veg and fresh eggs, hammocks for star gazing.
Friendly, welcoming owners (nothing too much trouble, even the option for spider rescues if needed)

Me gustó: We had an amazing 5 days at Moondance. Truly exceptional attention to detail from our wonderful hosts Penny and Jon. Wildlife abounds in the area and we were treated to dusk flybyes by bats. We can’t wait to return to this magical place

Me gustó: Fantastic friendly hosts who do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including marshmallows on your first night and flapjacks! Good clear communication throughout the stay, and many friendly chats. We felt welcome and right at home.
The area is clean and extremely well presented. The amenities are clean and in a great condition, well thought through, including everything you need during your stay. Advice and information available with the fridge/freezer including local tide times and weather reports! The meadow is beautifully well kept, with spacious pitches on a spacious field with ample parking and even a cold water tap. We had an 8 berth tent and barely used a 3rd of the pitch! The logs available (£5 for 8kg) are fantastic, dried well and burnt easy alongside the provided firepit/BBQ. The kit comes with firelighters and kindling with were exceptional for a toasty fire every night. Cannot wait to stay again. We stayed for 6 nights and were comfortable from start to finish.Thank you Penny, Jon and Koda (woof, woof) from S, G&I

Me gustó: We haven’t camped for over 20yrs so this was a really lovely experience. The camp site was immaculate and the host was absolutely wonderful . Very knowledgeable on the area and full of great ideas . Will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you .
