No me gustó Being told off for knocking door on our arriva ( only wanted to check in ) Left van in field and went to local pub , only to read the reviews and we decided to go back and leave site....... stayed in pub carpark

Me gustó The fact the site not changed since holidaying there back in the 1980’s. Location, friendly people.

No me gustó There is lot of rubbish, junk which prevents access to the river which is also overgrown. This is a pity as it is such a beautiful location and was always a feature of the campsite in the past.

Me gustó The location to the village was good a few minutes walk to the pub and village shop. The field is sheltered and sunny (although sun is obviously not guaranteed!) Good location to explore from.

No me gustó The campsite had way to many people on for the size of it. The field was fairly busy when we arrived, though could fit a few on but we were told there was more coming later and not to take up too much room. By the time we came back in the evening it was most definitely full up and there were most definitely no fire breaks between the tents. This was bad enough but the owner decided to set up round a campfire with a group of young lads and the whole group were loud, rowdy and very inconsiderate of anyone around them. At 1am after several people had shouted at them to be quiet I ended up having to get up and go over and ask them to keep it down. The owner was still with them at this point and said nothing when I was there. They quietened down for a little while and then it picked up again the language got worse and they started getting in and out of cars, slamming doors and flashing headlights. It was gone 3.30am by the time they gave up. It was not a happy campsite the next morning. I know every campsite has noisy guests sometimes but this was ridiculous and for the owner to be sat with them and just as noisy as anyone else it was out of order.

Me gustó Location, nice pub in walking distance.

No me gustó Site was over crowded. Tents seriously close to each other. No room for cars in between.

Very noisy one night, group included site owner!

I found site owner to be over friendly.

Toilets not monitered, so no toilet roll on bank hol Monday morning. Bins were overflowing.

Me gustó The site was peaceful and set in beautiful surroundings. The facilities were good and clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again. Pitches level and pleasant shade on offer.

Me gustó Green rustic setting .. close to town dog friendly … albeit lots cats roaming

No me gustó Appalling reception … owner moaning about number of customers … we even heard him disawade a couple from stopping even though like us they had booked and paid on pitch up … Complete lack of organisation of pitches .. toilets and showers very very run down … even had to chase up lack of loo roll in all toilets. Late nite noise

Upon arrival, no clear check in. Dog barking! Field absolutely rammed and clearly over booked with no room to pitch. I had 2 children with me so instead of making a fussed we just left and booked somewhere else.

Refund was refused even though that was t any room to pitch.

£45 a night is ridiculous.
