Looking for a glamping break in a remote corner of Gwynedd? Cerrig Drudion is a bit of a find, with delightfully styled bell tent accommodation tucked away in a copse of trees. This secluded spot is right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and makes a handy and luxurious base for walks right from the site. Convenient amenities include a woodburner to cosy up around in the evening after a day’s adventure in the fresh air, lots of storage space for clothes and a proper bed for restful nights. You’ll appreciate the private washroom with a hot shower (bliss for aching muscles), plus the washing machine and dryer so you can keep everything (and everybody) neat and tidy. Outside there’s a simple seating area for sunny days, when you can admire the mountain views and grill up a storm on the firepit – pick up essentials in Llanllyfni (10 minutes’ drive). Don’t want to lift a finger on your Snowdonia holiday? Skip the shops and head straight for the town’s pubs and takeaways. You may not have many human neighbours at Cerrig Drudion, but you’ll have plenty of animal companions – on site there are two dogs and three cats to befriend (if you wish) as well as a horse, a goat, pigs, hens and ducks. So while your canine chums are more than welcome to come glamping with you, please make sure they are on a lead around the livestock.
