Me gustó Beautiful views of the estuary. Natural eco campsite. Basic and clean facilities. Peaceful and quiet with lovely staff.

No me gustó We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this campsite and would not recommend it to anyone. From the beginning, the facilities were far below basic standards, and the hygiene of the toilets was appalling. The composting toilets were not properly maintained, with no flushing system and very poor sanitary conditions. After using them once, my wife unfortunately developed a health issue, which we strongly believe was linked to the lack of cleanliness.

When we raised these concerns with staff, the response was unhelpful and dismissive. At first, we were told a refund would be given, but by the following morning, they changed their position completely. This kind of inconsistency and lack of responsibility is unacceptable.

We also feel that the booking confirmation from Pitchup did not make it clear enough that the toilets were composting toilets. Important details like this should be highlighted upfront, not buried in long descriptions, so that families can make an informed choice.

Overall, the facilities were unhygienic, the management unresponsive to genuine health and safety concerns, and the experience extremely disappointing. This was by far the worst campsite we have ever visited, and we left feeling let down and misled.

If you would like to throw away your money, go to this campsite.

Had the listing been misleading, we would have waived our no-refund policy. Toilets are cleaned several times daily & consistently receive positive feedback. At the time of this stay, around 140 campers were onsite — none shared this viewpoint.

Me gustó Lovely secluded campsite with great views overlooking Kingsbridge estuary. Clean but basic facilities. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a low budget camping trip.

Me gustó Amazing location with stunning views. Lots of room for everyone. Two toilets and shower with warm water, washing up facility. Owners and staff very friendly, making sure that our stay was nice and cleaning the facilities a few times a day. Overall very nice stay, will be returning and recommending.

Me gustó Beautiful view and close to the town which was accessible by foot. Facilities were clean and saw staff regularly which was reassuring. Wood for fires were provided which was a nice touch.

No me gustó Only two toilets (drop holes) and one shower, which could be an issue during busier months. The washing up station was just a bottle of cold soapy water so not the most hygienic in terms of being able to wash up.

Me gustó Friendly, chatty staff who do regular check-ins. Extremely well maintained facilities and clean, well stocked toilets. Free wood! Quiet campsite with a beautiful view of the creek and estuary. 10 minute walk from town.

No me gustó Needed a small play area for little children, in addition to the goal posts. The steep hill, but it was essential for the view, so worth the climb.
