Me gustó: The view is absolutely amazing. The best facilities I have seen as well. Shower, toilets and washing up area - spot on.

No me gustó: The pitch is a bit hilly and to get to the farm there is quite a hill to climb as well. Worth though for that view.

Me gustó: Really pleasant stay, extremely clean facilities and a warm welcome from the hosts. Great location and the dog had the time of his life!

Me gustó: Loved this site. Quiet with lots of space, amazing views, clean facilities, with friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be back.

Me gustó: Beautiful views, homemade pizza was a lovely touch, nice and quite- not over crowded, could choose where to pitch up, local shops and pubs near by, surrounded by nature.

No me gustó: Was quite windy due to being high up. One night the hot water wasn’t working so had a cold shower, was quite a walk up hill on the way back from the showers.

Fortunately we were able to sort the showers as soon as we heard there was a problem.

Me gustó: Fantastic views- the best in the area I’m sure- and so convenient for the South Coast path.
Close enough to Combe Martin to walk down in to town, although the walk back up is a killer.

Saturday night “Pizza Night” absolutely worth it- some of the best pizza you could wish for, and delivered to your tent.
Wonderful staff, immaculate cleanliness in shower/toilet block (and an adequate portaloo in the top of the field) as well as a small enclosed communal area for drying out/ fridge facilities.

No me gustó: So glad we chose Girt Farm rather than other nearby alternatives, although it is a very exposed site with a Westerly breeze.
If it was going to be bad weather we would choose a more secluded site.

Not easy to find a flat area, and when busy could probably benefit from another shower block.
Would be nice if the washing up area had a roof.

Me gustó: The farm camping was exactly what we needed and was much better than I could have anticipated. This was our first camping trip and what a beautiful location for it.
Pros
-the setting is wonderful it is a hilltop campsite on the Dorset costal trail
-toilet block, Shepard's cabin and far side portaloo made for a comfortable stay
-the hosts were lovely offering advice for the local walks and answered the phone on our initial confusion on arrival (self inflicted as we arrived after dark on a foggy evening)
We walked the 2 1/2 mile trail to the town and to be back for sunset opted for the 45 minutes walk from town- this is not for the faint hearted as it is a steep hillside walk which is an incline for the majority of the journey- it also encounters several paths and a single track road

Me gustó: Friendly welcome at 9.30pm, amazing site with stunning views, everything I needed there and more, very clean, loads of space, can walk from site to coast.
