High Hall Campsite

Me gustó: Pitches are well spaced out so you get plenty room and privacy. Lovely and quiet, good showers and a kitchen up at the barn. Friendly and helpful owners.

Me gustó: Campsite was the right size and had a community feel.

Everything was positioned in the right places having toilets and showers down on the pitch as well as up the top of the hill.

The price for the turn length was worth the stay and very reasonable.

Me gustó: Gorgeous site, very friendly and clean. Lots of space, we pitched next to a stream which was beautiful ❤️

Me gustó: We have been to high hall twice within the last month and absolutely love it, the facilities are great and everything you would ever need for a family holiday! Fiona the owner was fabulous, nothing was too much to ask. There are goodies to buy up in the barn with entertainment too, the compost toilets at the camp site are an experience to say the least! But all part of the camping experience! The camp site is very tidy and the firepits come in so handy! Not to mention that each plot has their own picnic table!

No me gustó: The compost toilets although they are all part of the fun it is also enough to turn the strongest of stomachs but thank the lord for the main toilets in the barn! 😂
Location is quite a drive from penrith, the closest town but the peace and quiet was amazing.

Me gustó: Extremely quiet and peaceful, next to a lovely pond and not to far away from a pub which is a short drive away.

Me gustó: Lovely campsite with an amazing closeness to nature and very tranquil. The facilities were very good and the owner was very friendly and helpful

Me gustó: Well spaced pitches. Contact with nature. Picnic tables and fire pits. Kitchen facilities.

Me gustó: Well spaced pitches. Friendly owner. Good kitchen and washing up facilities. Great showers. No dogs, so there was no dog poo for the kids to step in. Each pitch had a picnic table which really helped.

No me gustó: House Martins nesting in the old cow shed (ie. kitchen and showers) were wonderful to see but their droppings were not.

Me gustó: The stream and pond, the ice cream (as good as other reviews suggested)!, the views, the proprietor, the laid back vibe, and really pleasant pitch. And the resident dog!

No me gustó: Some of the guests did not treat the venue with as much respect as deserved. Not the campsite's fault.

Me gustó: Very large electric tent pitches that are quite spaced out so lots of privacy. Every pitch has a picnic bench and a firepit, buckets of kindling are sold on site. Great washing facilities both at the pitches and at the old cow shed, a few mins walk up the hill. If you run out of milk or snacks, or just need a match, there is an honesty shop in the old cow shed. There is WIFI at the old cow shed but still had some very good data/roaming signal at the pitches. A perfect location inbetween the lake district and north pennines. We will be returning next year.
