Me gustó: Friendly staff, attention to detail, easy location for attractions, loved the firepit to save bringing your own

No me gustó: Newer Shower block could have done with a little table inside cubicle for bags etc.

Me gustó: Friendly and welcoming staff, clean facilities, set pitched. Kids loved the animals. Close to Drigg beach, good location to explore. Nearby seascales has lovely park area for kids and ice cream palor.

Me gustó: Lovely campsite, nice quiet location, site warden very knowledgeable of the area and helpful.
Good basic facilities.
Great beach at Seascale which is very close by.
I think the negative reviews are more of a reflection on the reviewer than the site themselves.
We would 100% return

No me gustó: WiFi was a bit hit and miss but not overly important

Me gustó: Lovely place to stay. We stayed in our small campervan with an awning. Simple facilities, cleaned regularly and a quiet site.
My little boy loved seeing the cows in the morning when going to the toilet and petting the donkey at the entrance. The fridge freezer to use was very useful to keep our food fresh and refreeze out freezer blocks.

No me gustó: Could do with more facilities as they are unisex I didn’t think there were enough for the size of the site

We do have two large shower blocks, as we didn't have many people on site at the time of your visit only one was open.
In Busy periods both shower blocks are fully open and in full use

Me gustó: well laid out site with good access and well spaced out pitches. very tidy, clean and well maintained. staff were friendly and very helpful. the toilet facilities were very clean and of a good standard.
it's a great area for access to the western lakes, the beaches and the local villages. we would use this site again.

No me gustó: the showers were a bit low on pressure and temperature but still ok.
I thought that the recycling bins could have included glass and plastic as well as cans and cardboard.

Me gustó: The location is great for those wishing to climb scar fel pike or just to go to the golden sand beaches. The shower room is warm and the showers hot and clean. When we first arrived the staff was very helpful and polite, gave us local information and there was a small shop.

No me gustó: The pitches are good with both electric and water, plus they have hard standing. You can have a fire pit however it's a static option which can't be moved so depending where you place your tent may be away from where you want it. Also due to the nature of the location some pitches can be on a little slope. But these was minor issues

Due to fire safety regulations all the fire pits have to be a certain distance apart, due to this the fire pits are static we do have larger tent pitches which give plenty of space if more space is needed i would definitely recommend this option for your next visit. Some of our pitches are on a slope as this allows the water to drain off better meaning that the pitches wont flood.
