What customers say

Great spot near Albert, spacious pitches, friendly staff. Peaceful, handy for WW1 sites. Facilities clean but a bit old, BYO loo roll. Perfect for a chill Somme break.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nice location, good services. Even for only one night, our staying there was so peaceful and quiet.
Easy to access it, located into a pitoresque area, we would have liked to have stayed longer.
Also, they have many means for entertainment (like table tennis, pool table)

Disliked The smell the second day was horrific. Of course, is not the site's fault, but literarelly, you really needed to run out of there.

Electric grass touring pitch

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Location-wise, great for visiting the Somme museum in Albert (15 min walk) and nearby memorials / cemeteries.

Disliked Dark, dirty toilet/shower block with some taps not working, no soap or paper or even dispensers for either.
Ramshackle seating area near reception that looked like where old garden furniture goes to die.
Cramped pitches with no privacy.
No site management - revellers shouting and playing music until 4am.
Dismissive staff.
Other than the Somme museum, there’s not much to Albert and it’s pretty rundown in places.

Liked De standplaats. Stroom en water dichtbij.

Disliked Het sanitair. Geen toiletpapier bij het toilet. Bij de afwasplek was het warmwater lauw en er kwam een klein straaltje water uit de kraan.

Local attractions

Set the scene for a tour of the Somme battlefields with a visit to the Musée Somme 1916 (10 minutes’ walk) in Albert, with informative subterranean displays of weapons and military uniforms as well as recreations of the wartime trenches. From there, you are within easy reach of the Thiepval Memorial (10 minutes’ drive), Pozières Memorial and Cemetery (five minutes) and the carefully tended ranks of graves in Caterpillar Valley Cemetery (15 minutes). Historic Arras (40 minutes) has plenty of WWI memorials too, evident when you visit the Carrière Wellington, a network of tunnels dug from medieval chalk quarries by the Allies. Going further back in time, it’s also worth stopping by the sprawling, star-shaped Citadelle d’Arras, built by military architect Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban in 1672. If you’re travelling with kids, head for lively Amiens (35 minutes) to see big cats and red pandas at the Zoo d’Amiens Métropole, visit the Jules Verne House – former home of the madcap sci-fi writer – and climb to the top of the landmark Beffroi d’Amiens for views over city rooftops.
