Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked: The unique ethos of the place was great but the current owners lack enthusiasm on facilitating camping needs. We were shown a pitch that were immediately stuck in the mud with temperamental electrical hookup and an unusable water supply. Felt stuck waiting to be helped with the tractor to be pulled out of the mud. Felt it could have been more of a priority to have been freed and they should’ve have known that my motorhome would sink in their pitch. Met some beautiful people but it is more of a permanent friends working living quarters than a facilitating campsite. The loving ethos is all very well and good but we ended up paying more than we felt we should for services that were not sufficient.
Peacocks are gorgeous just like many other aspects of it but overall give it a miss if you’re looking for decent camping facilities. And maybe if promoting compost toilets they should be emptied before reaching the seat!
Disliked: Ancient electrical hook up.
