Views around the site

  • Relaxed back-to-nature park with stunning Pembrokeshire coast views
  • Less than a mile from Abereiddy Beach and the Blue Lagoon
  • Campfires and dogs allowed
A laidback atmosphere, back-to-nature family camping and easy proximity to the best of Pembrokeshire await at friendly Coastal Stay, a small park tucked away enough to be peaceful but only a few miles from the sights of St Davids. The owners point out that this isn't a hi-tech site, but if you want to build dens with the kids or teach them how to forage blackberries, you should find things very suitable here. It's heavenly stargazing land too – fabulous for watching the skies around a campfire after watching the sun set into the sea at Abereiddy. You should find the views very suitable too, spectacularly stretching out over the north Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in a National Trust conservation area. And the location, less than a mile from Abereiddy beach and the Blue Lagoon, and a mile from the fishing village of Porthgain. Pitches are well spaced out and set around a natural spring-fed lake (please take care around the lake if you have younger kids). Amenities include top-notch bathroom facilities with a double-size hot water power shower, toilet, wash basin and mirror, and a cold water tap and table outside for dishwashing. Coastal Stay also has a kitchen with wood-fired oven cooking up handmade pizzas for guests to take away. Grocery and camping essentials like toilet roll, milk, eggs, spare tent pegs and windbreakers are for sale in the local shop, a mile and a half away. Children and well-behaved dogs are most welcome – you'll find Coastal Stay's own dog, cats and pygmy goats on site as well – but please keep dogs under control and on leads to avoid disturbing other guests.

Electric optional grass tent pitch (medium)

Liked Amazing campsite! Great location with coastal views and a short walk to Abereiddi and Porthgain. Fantastic facilities - covered washing up area, powerful showers, clean toilets, lots of parking, fire pits and tables for each pitch. The host put all of our group's tents together, far away from other campers so we were nice and private. The host was communicative and friendly and very welcoming

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch (large)

Liked Coastal stay is just a stunning little gem. Me and my wife have had our campervan Chugga for 7 years now and have been to many campsites. Coastal stay is our number 1 site and this was our 4th visit. The site is beautifully cared for amenities are always absolutely spotless and Marilyn and Nick are really lovely hardworking people. The views are just incredible and with the most amazing sunsets. We just spent 9 nights on their large hardstanding pitch with views to die for!. It's such a great location with amazing walks. Abereiddy beach is beautiful with the stunning blue lagoon highly recommend a visit to them. Also you have porthgain which is gorgeous and great fish and chips from the shed bistro. The stumble shuttle bus service stopped outside the camp and took us to Fishguard which was a really great day out.We had some beautiful evenings with a nice fire and the stunning night sky. So yet again a fantastic peaceful and relaxing holiday. As always it was sad to go but on a positive we will return 😁 Thank you Marylin and Nick we had an amazing holiday again❤️🫶🏻.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked We stayed here for 2 nights over the BH weekend and it was absolute bliss. The site is peaceful and the surrounding views and sunsets are dreamy. The facilities were absolutely spotless and the pizza was incredible but make sure you get in early because I can see why they are so popular! Loved that each pitch has it's own picnic table as well and campfire. What amazing additions. The walk down to Porthgain Harbour along the Welsh Coast is stunning and Aberieddy including Blue Lagoon all within walking distance. We'll definitely be returning!

Liked Amazing location. Stunning views. Friendly owners. The pitches were well spaced and quiet. Each pitch had a long wooden table and a fire pit. Toilet/shower facilities were great, always clean with plenty hot water whatever time of day used.

Local attractions

St Davids, Britain's smallest city, is a few miles down the road and has plenty of places to eat and drink as well as a host of old treasures to see such as St Davids Cathedral and the ruins of the Bishops Palace; very decent surf at Whitesands Bay is a real draw here too. If you're here to hike, a frequent bus service stops right outside the site to and from St Davids, Fishguard and Haverfordwest to access the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. There are also plenty of local walks for all ages and abilities straight from the site and the Coastal Stay pitches overlook a natural valley leading to the sea for a highly scenic walk to Abereiddy. Take the walk from Abereiddy beach over the top of the Blue Lagoon and onto Porthgain, with a pitstop for a bite or drink before catching a bus straight back to the site.
