Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Beautiful surroundings, woodland walk although quite steep in places. There was a river but I couldn't find access to it. It was suggested to go through the gate past the owners house but it was full of sheep, so not good when you have a dog. Friendly and helpful family run site. Most pitches are permanent pitches and feels like a bit of a community there. Lots of birds. Liked the fact that there were no restrictions on time of arrival and departure, made a more relaxed weekend.
Disliked: This is a newly owned site and it was under refurbishments. We had a fully serviced pitch which was all still sticking out of the ground and had to be given a pipe to connect the water. There are slate paths and pitches. There are no signs to tell you were anything is but you could smell the chemical disposal as soon as you entered the site, although this was not sign posted either. The pub was supposed to be a 10 minute walk into the woodland I walked for 20 and there was no pub in sight and it was climbing a slope also, if you are not fit and able. There was no noise control and people onsite were making adaptations to their permanent sited tourers throughout the day and early evening. We stayed on the bank holiday weekend and the bins were over flowing. The toilets were not clean and it does have 2 new showers. Did not use. We ended up with a puncture in our tyre because of a fence nail that we can only presume we picked up through driving through the site, although we could of picked it up anywhere there was alot of debris in various places onsite and there were fences that were being mended. Sat nav directions is a known problem with the owners who kindly agreed to come and meet us to take us to the site. Overall after reading the description of the site and was willing to pay the £40 per night, most expensive site fees I have ever paid, I was looking forward to this beautiful sounding site and going away definitely thinking I wouldn't visit again. Unfortunately the new owners have alot to learn about what tourers need to feel comfortable and I hopeful that although these are negative comments, that they can take away some of things the other well established sites are doing. I hope they do, as they have some beautiful surrounding land.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: This appears to be a new site for motorhomes set in lovely quiet surroundings near to the river. Pitches are slate with a nice sized grass area to the side. The site also has several static homes and permanent caravans and everyone made us feel very welcome. When we arrived Marc showed us where everything was on the site. There is a nice pub 10-15 mins walk way down a mud road/track. Had a problem when we arrived with the water connection, however, a plumber was called and it was sorted quickly.
Disliked: Not dislikes but some suggestions.
Could do with a sign on the main road as site is easily missed.
On-site facilities, possibly needs a cleaning schedule/rota to check stocks etc.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Beautifully stunning and quiet site, we and the dogs enjoyed the walks down by the river and the 10 minute walk to the local pub!
A friendly family run site with some lovely people who have a permanent pitch and spend their weekends there (I would if I lived closer!).
There is a problem with the postcode on this site as it leads you to the wrong side of the camp but a quick phone call and Marc came and met us and we followed him back to our pitch. He and his dad could not have been more helpful, there was a problem with the water connection when we first arrived but we went down to the pub and when we returned they had a plumber there who sorted it out, so no inconvenience what so ever! All in all a fantastic 4 night stay :)
