Liked: My two grown-up daughters and I--joined at the end by my wife--had a wonderful 10-day stay at Penllechog Camping. The site is located in a beautiful, mountainous area, very much in nature and away from the rough and tumble of city life. The facilities were as described and in good working order. The pitches were well-spaced apart. Linda, the host, was very attentive without being intrusive. There's a fridge and electric point if you need to keep anything cool or charge a small device. There's no wi-fi but there was good phone reception. We left feeling rejuvenated and as in love with North Wales as ever!

Liked: This is a beautiful campsite, quiet, surrounded by woodland, and set high up on the hillside with a magnificent view. The tent pitches are large, grassy and very well-spaced, and there was lots of space on the field where the kids could play. The toilet, washing and showering facilities, though basic, are perfectly adequate. The owners were extremely helpful and provided us with a wealth of information on the many different things to do in the surrounding area, including secluded beaches, castles and historic sites.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: We had a great time pitched up on the house side of the field with amazing views of the hills and mountains. The facilities were great with composting toilets and a lovely warm back to nature shower block. We had good weather with made the experience even better and made use of this toasting marshmallows by the camp fire. The owners are lovely and very friendly people with great local knowledge on where to walk, visit and eat make sure you ask them what's best as we nearly missed out on some great views. We took our Dog Nero who made friends with some of the farm dogs it was great to see him sniffing and playing along with them.
