  • Touring pitches for CAMC members only on a small Somerset site
  • Quiet country setting, 25 minutes’ drive from Wookey Hole Caves
  • A few minutes' walk from the local pub and next to a bus stop
Ready for some downtime in a quiet country setting in Somerset? Set up your base on the touring pitches at Metcalfe House Certified Location, open for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only. These quiet pitches are in an open one-acre spot with direct access to excellent walks into the surrounding countryside and a short drive away from local nature reserves. The local pub is less than five minutes’ walk away from the site. Just as conveniently, there’s a bus stop a few hundred feet away with routes to Somerton, Street, Wells and Yeovil. Walk to Combe Hill Wood directly from the site for views of Glastonbury Tor (after an adventurous hillside climb) too. From here, touring Somerset’s attractions is easy. The Wookey Hole Caves are 25 minutes’ drive away, next to Wells, and Cheddar Gorge in the Mendip Hills National Landscape is 40 minutes’ drive away. The north Somerset coast is half an hour’s drive away. A shopping village with over 90 outlet shops is five minutes’ drive away, in Street. The pitches all come with electric hook-up and a water point. There is also a wastewater point on site.

Electric grass touring pitch (members only)

Liked: Beautiful. Friendly site with walks from Site for miles stunning views and bus stops just outside the entrance. Also a pub across thd road which has a good rep for food served

Disliked: Some public footpaths not cleared with broken stiles some even barb wired to discourage use. This is not the sites fault but is just to make people aware if you love walking with your dog
