Perfect getaway.
Electric optional grass and earth pitch
Liked Loved the Arrive/Depart anytime philosophy, which works well with fishing in mind. Basic site, but a beautifully quiet, isolated location, perfect for total relaxation. Pitch where suits. Fresh eggs available and a few basic supplies from within their large fishing tackle shop. Always a friendly helpful service.

Ok for a fishing break
Electric optional grass and earth pitch
Liked The Scenery was nice and the lakes were good. Laid back and relaxed with not too many rules. A good fishing tackle shop on site. If you are staying here just for the fishing then it's ok.
Disliked Unlevel pitches and the toilet and showers were very tired. Althought the toilets were clean, the washroom could do with updating. The washing up area was a bit run down. There was a lot of junk piles around the place.

From the manager: We are ultimately a fishery but also an ex-farm site. The other side of the hedge to the campsite we have several old tractors all still used and some old implements and machinery all part of the farm NOT JUNK!!. As you said scenery and lakes all nice and this equipment is used to maintain that and stored separate to the accommodation area. Again you stated the toilets were kept clean and water hot and mains supplied. You gave 4 out of 5 for value for money and many remark how we supply these facilities for the money. All singing and dancing new block with tilled floors and our rate would be double. We have been open since Easter and right on the last couple of weeks of the season and agree ready for a full paint and decorate ready for next season again as we do every year.
