  • Friendly family-run touring park in spectacular Cornish countryside
  • Secluded yet well placed for local beaches (2.5 miles) and attractions
  • A short drive from restaurants and a traditional Cornish pub
There are reasons aplenty why Cornwall's Higher Trevaskis Caravan Park is a highly popular place for gratified guests. Its Hayle setting, for starters, in a nifty locale for getting around the top Cornish highlights and tackling the county's active options: it's only a few miles from sandy beaches at Godrevy, Gwithian and Porthkidney Sands for surfing, sunbathing and rockpooling, and within eight of St Michael's Mount for trips to one of Cornwall's most famed spots. The Eden Project, The Flambards Experience and Paradise Park all are within easy reach. Then there's all the little touches laid on by the thoughtful and friendly team, such as free mobile phone charging, spotless amenities, and a spacious family shower room with constant free hot water. Being thoughtful souls, there's wifi throughout the site (although patchy on some pitches). Views? But of course: Higher Trevaskis is in a scenic (and secluded) setting, and has plenty of pitch space among greenery galore and loads of room for play. Kids can ride their bikes around the park, tackle the swings and slides of the play area or challenge the grownups to a game of some sort in the sports field. Head to the basket swing, wooden climbing stack, wooden trim trail and sports field. After all that, get the barbecue sorted for peaceful evenings in this serene space: a small shop is on site for supplies, and a much-recommended farm shop/restaurant and a pub are a short drive away.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: A lovely, quiet campsite with clean toilets, friendly staff and nicely laid out pitches. WiFi was good where we were pitched. Good location amongst farmland to explore the sites of southern Cornwall.

Disliked: WiFi patchy across the site, though this was made clear and wasn’t a problem for us.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Great campsite ideally situated to get down to Penzance, across to the Lizard Coast or down to St Ives.
From arrival the service was great, allowed to choose the best pitch for us but then also loads of other options.
The team work tirelessly to keep the site spotless, Charlotte, think that's her name, was working constantly to keep the ablutions clean throughout.
What did we love.
Showers - hot and powerful at any time.
Play park. Kids loved that throughout - never saw them.
The Shop is stocked with everything you need.
WiFi - good enough for watching a fire stick.
Ice cream Van was fantastic too.

Disliked: We had the bins close to our pitch which possibly attracted wasps, when the ablutions were at the other end of the pitch area, no harm moving them to the ablution block out the way.

A card facility, tap and go type thing, to pay for washing machine. Which is such a minor point as you are camping!!!

Electric grass pitch

Liked: It was the cleanest camp site we had ever been. Such a lovely place with amazing friendly staff. My daughter loved every minute of our stay as well. I would love to go back there and cannot recommend it enough. Location is also great. Close to beautiful Cornwall places and many big superstores, shops, restraunts etc. You have everything you need with the beautiful surroundings. My only critisizm was that the ground was a bit hard for the pegs but that was the only thing. Thanks Higher Trevaskis for an amazing camp experience. It was truly the best!! Keep up the good work !!

Disliked: The ground was hard for the pegs but it was nothing as the place has so many lovely qualities, you don't care about that!!

Electric grass pitch

Liked: I would highly recommend Higher Trevaskis Campsite. From the moment we arrived we was met and shown where our pitch was. Toilet and shower block spotlessly clean and there was always a lady cleaning didn't matter what time if day she was always there! Hairdryer in the ladies also. Washing machine, dryer and iron and ironing board available to use at a small cost. Washing up area nice and clean and plenty of sinks to use. Free WiFi, kids play area, field for football. Ideal for families, nice and quiet and central for most of Cornwall to visit 😁

Disliked: Nothing

Local attractions

There's loads of choice for attractions and activities with a stay at this fine and peaceful place, including Trevaskis Farm half a mile away, where you can meet the animals, have a meal at the restaurant or pick up produce at the farm shop. Nearby Paradise Park is a popular family stop around this part of Cornwall: have a morning around the wildlife sanctuary before letting the kids loose in the Jungle Barn play centre. Kids will also likely clamour for a day at The Flambards Experience near Helston, and for a delve into the many activities of the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, to meet the Vikings, learn how to sail and climb a 100ft tower. Beaches are a must in these parts too: the closest is Gwithian, two and a half miles away, with three miles of golden sand to laze around on, rockpools to thoroughly investigate, and waters popular for surfing. Other options are fab St Michael's Mount with its medieval castle and church, the arty vibe of Tate St Ives, and the giant biomes of the Eden Project, near St Austell.
