Great campsite! Karen & Simon are super hosts. Spotlessly clean, roomy spots, and tranquil orchard. Handy spot with pub & walks. Perfect for families & dogs. Some traffic noise/shower temp ups & downs, but still a top stay.

Liked The site is very well looked after by a lovely friendly couple, the showers are great as are all the facilities It is very well located for Faversham and the coast and a 2 minute walk to a friendly pub serving good food.
It’s very pretty and will definitely be going back.

Liked The site is lovely, and so is the welcome from hosts Karen and Simon. The huge field with a public footpath just behind the site was perfect for exercising the dog. All the facilities are clean. Site is perfectly positioned for walking the surrounding countryside and into Faversham. We had excellent food at both the Carpenters Arms in Eastling and The Alma.

Liked Beautiful peaceful location with everything we needed for a great long weekend. The hosts were so helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing relaxed time and are already looking at booking again!

Liked The welcome and local area advice by site managers.
Toilet block very clean, a good size mirror with a plug for drying hair.
Hot showers.
Plugs in the washing up sinks!

Liked Lovely couple, welcomed me well. Explained it was my first time with a caravan opposed to a tent. My dad came up, helped me set up, nothing was any trouble. My dad has now bought a van (today) and we are planning our next holiday at painters. I will most definitely be returning to stay and will dad. Highly recommended.

Disliked Nothing to complain about. Great idea to use the back field for kids to play ball etc.

Local attractions

Canterbury (20 minutes’ drive) is calling…the town is riddled with UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Canterbury Cathedral, St Augustine’s Abbey and the Church of St Martin. Pick out cute eateries or shops as a resting point as you work your way around its well-documented history. If the olden times excite your mind, Belmont House and Gardens (five minutes) are nearby, with a marvellous walled garden and traditional tea room. There are more bountiful gardens (and righteous insides) at Leeds Castle (25 minutes). Balance your outings with wildlife and a visit to the safari-style The Big Cat Sanctuary (35 minutes). Or perhaps look towards the red pandas and bears lurking at Wingham Wildlife Park (half an hour). Nature also runs fairly wild in the ancient woodlands at Blean Woods National Nature Reserve (half an hour). If you’re in search of more coastal towns, you won't have to look too far. Follow the coast past Herne Bay (25 minutes and a good stop for jet skiing, windsurfing and other watersports) and into the trendy town of Margate (40 minutes) for fish and chips stalls and seaside rides.
