  • Peaceful adults-only rural Kent site 10 minutes' drive from Tenterden
  • A 25-minute drive to Rye; several vineyards close by for tours
  • Pétanque court and firepit grates on site; local pub 10 minutes' walk
When you stay at Field End Campsite, you’ll be sharing the space with the chickens and ducks that live here, and just a handful of other guests… but no kids, as this Kent site is an adults-only setup that’s all about letting the grownups have a bit of chillout time. This rural location (about 15 minutes’ drive from Ashford) is a particularly fine spot for a break if you’re into your fishing – there’s a fishery just next door, with a couple more within a 15-minute walk/five-minute drive. Meanwhile, cyclists can pedal along quiet country lanes and there are plenty of places to get out for a walk nearby too (and you’ll be welcome to bring your dog along if they fancy a Kent countryside walk too…) Only planning to walk as far as the pub? That shouldn’t take long, as the nearest one is only about 10 minutes away on foot. There are four more pubs within a five-minute drive if you’d like to mix things up a bit, or you could pick up supplies at the farm shop just outside the local village of Bethersden (five minutes’ drive) and get your barbecue going back at base. There’s also a butcher and grocery shop in the village, with bigger supermarkets over in Tenterden (10 minutes) if you need them. Tenterden also has some lovely cafés and a good range of shops on its high street. Facilities on site include a washing-up area, toilets, showers and a solar-powered shower for those who are brave enough. There's also a pétanque court on site. Each pitch has its own grate, where you're welcome to set up a campfire; logs, kindling and firelighters can be purchased from the site for an additional fee. If you need to freeze ice packs or blocks, ask the team for access to the freezer.

Liked There is so much to say I don’t think there will be enough room!
We have been camping for 16 years and this was our first adult only site now that the kids don’t want to come with us so just me hubby and the pooches! so wasn’t sure what to expect. WOW!! What a lovely small site with fantastic facilities. The owners are super friendly which is an added bonus!
The shower/toilet facilities were always clean, shower is amazing and super powerful and always hot water.
The area to clean dishes was always clean with a good deep sink and hot water.
The site has a communal BBQ area which is sheltered so one night we had dinner there and placed giant connect 4 and giant Jenga and of course a glass of wine by our sides!

The site is very secure with electric gates. We walked to the Pig and Sty a couple of times which was a nice 10 min stroll,we had our 2 dogs with us too and the walk felt safe despite being in country lanes.

There is a corner shop which is a few mins drive should u forget any essentials but sells good quality food and not over priced. And Tescos is a short drive into Tenterden.

The owners have thought about everything here, they have a little games area for badminton and boules.
In the evening it looks so pretty with all the little fairy lights scattered around!

You have a fire pit beside ur tent and pay £8 for bag of wood/kindle etc.

Karen was amazing, she made an exception for us due to unforseen circumstances and I was truly greatful.

If you want a peaceful site to relax enjoy some quiet time then this is where you should book! We had 7 days here and I could have easily stayed longer.
This site is a treasurer gem and we will be returning again next year and Rocko and Reggie had a fab time too meeting all the doggies and getting lots of fuss and cuddles from Karen.

Disliked If anyone doesn’t like anything here then there being super fussy as we couldn’t find a single fault!!

Liked Second visit to this lovely site. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful peaceful weekend with perfect weather. Loved the owls hooting in the night. The facilities are clean and the field is pretty and well looked after. Quiet country lanes for dog walking and the local pub is only 10 mins walk. Also highly recommend The George in Bethersden.

Liked Lovely location , only a few pitches and very secure , pub about 10 minutes walk away, bus to Tenterden also from outside the pub (you will strugle to get a bus back), free eggs (if the hens are laying ). Karen was really helpful. Logs (to buy) and fire baskets available , hook up and drinking water on the pitch.
