What customers say

A neat, clean campsite with level pitches and great modern ablutions. Friendly welcome, peaceful vibe, and good security. Handy for local walks. Shower temps and bin space sometimes iffy. Some found electricity metering & dog fees steep.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Spacious pitches, clean facilities, brilliant hosts who were very responsive!
Pub 15 minute walk away which does good pub food.
Easy to top up electric as needed.

Disliked Not the sites fault but lots of kids who loved to wind the dogs up on purpose (perks of summer holidays though!)

Only 2 sinks in the ladies so was rather busy in the morning.
Walk to the pub is down a main road with no pavement, torches needed.

From the manager: Hi Amy,

Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Sorry about the noisy children.

There is a footpath to the pubs,

Thanks

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked The pitches are large, plenty of space for awnings and seating. The electric is easy to use, you don’t need cash, paid online. Internet signal is good, overall a really nice campsite

Disliked Not having a waste water drop although you can drop your water in the hedge bottom, it’s not something we like doing

Electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This was my first time camping in my trailer tent, and it couldn’t have been a better experience for me and my nearly 5-year-old son. The site is set in a lovely rural area with plenty of space, and the layout makes it easy to keep an eye on children while they play. The showers and toilets were very clean, and hooking up and paying for the electric was simple and straightforward. There are also a couple of beautiful walks directly from the site, which we really enjoyed. Short drive to Nantwich where there is plenty to do. Overall, it was the perfect spot for our first adventure, and we would definitely visit again.

Disliked I would say the showers are slippy for little ones but then having shower mats in them wouldnt be hygienic. Just to bare in mind and maybe take your own.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Clean modern shower block and loo.
Warm welcome, but not intrusive.
Busier than when we stayed last year, but still plenty of space / privacy.
Walking distance to the Badger pub and local farm shop/cafe.

Disliked Nothing. Hence return this season.

Corner electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (large)

Liked This was a lovely open and spacious site. The pitch was huge. Facilities were limited but modern and well looked after, with plenty of hot water. Having a good pub (The Badger) within walking distance a bonus. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Local attractions

Head to the medieval town of Nantwich (15 minutes’ drive) to sample local produce in the indoor market (open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday); the site owners run a cheese stall there and offer a discount to their camping guests. You can also browse indie shops and antique dealers, admire higgledy-piggledy half-timbered houses or take strolls along the River Weaver Keep the kids happy with a visit to the elephants, big cats and rhinos at Chester Zoo, or learn more about rays and sharks at Blue Planet Aquarium (both 50 minutes). The bucket-list theme park Alton Towers (an hour and 10 minutes) has extreme rollercoasters as well as gentle rides for toddlers in CBeebies Land. Any rainy days can be taken care of in Crewe (15 minutes); simply head for the bowling alleys at Tenpin Crewe or catch a film at the neighbouring cinema. If you’re keen to maintain your fitness regime, you can swim lengths of the pool and train in the gym at Crewe Lifestyle Centre.
