Liked: I had high hopes because Wagtail is the most expensive site we have stayed on but we werent disappointed. The owner is friendly and showed us to the pitch and told us where to find everything on the site and how to get to shops etc. The site is divided into smaller sections so vans aren't on top of each other. The toilets and shower are really clean and the shower has loads of room to get changed. There is an area around the edges of the site to walk the dogs with plenty of dog bins. The fishing was good although the pegs are a bit close together
Disliked: The chemical waste area could do with a hose as we found this in a bit of a mess

Liked: Peter was a fabulous host!! Very friendly and gave me some good tips on what to do in the area… inspired me to walk the castle wall!!
My camping pod was a great little spot. Lovely site with clean facilities!!
Also they have owls!! 🦉

Liked: The owner was really helpful and gave us some great recommendations that turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. Great clean facilities and a straight forward bike ride into York which took just over 30 mins. Highly recommend this site and just a 5 min drive from the biggest retail park I’ve ever seen which was handy for picking up essentials.

Liked: The location was great for getting into York centre - a short distance to drive or a well run service at a park and ride just a few minutes drive away.
The camping pod was excellent - well located for good views, peaceful, warm and cosy. Washing and water facilities were very close by and all in really good working order.
Our hosts were friendly and welcoming making sure that we had everything we needed including local information such as transport links, local events and restaurant recommendations.
