What customers say

A top-rated, family-run park with spotless facilities, super staff & lovely scenery. Cafe's a hit! Kids love the animals & play area. Mostly great reviews, just a few mentions of occasional comms gaps and slightly uneven pitches.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Lovely site, spacious pitches, really friendly, helpful staff, sparklingly clean facilities and great food in the Curlew Cafe. Loved visiting all the animals and strolling through the pathways mown through the grass amongst the trees.

Disliked Only one tiny gripe - the site is built on a bit of a slope so we found it a bit tricky to level our caravan, but we managed. However, the slope means the views are fabulous from the top of the site.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Nice site, clean showers & polite staff, recommend the super full breakfast in their cafe at a special campers price that was in site information email.
We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area.

Disliked Some maintenance needed in washing up area.
Also not the sites fault a very inconsiderate neighbour starting to open& close his campervan sliding door at 5.30am in the morning for 2 nights spoiled our break!!
Rather have wood pigeons!!!

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Everything! The cafe is really good - didn't eat this time but the food looked amazing and the cakes did too. They are trying really hard and succeeding - such a friendly site - wonderful views too. Everywhere was immaculate - great place for families and those without children alike. Lots to see ad do around the area too. We will definitely be back.

Disliked Nothing!

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked This site is well laid out and is very peaceful. Facilities are clean and easily reached. Booking was easy and everyone we had contact with was friendly and helpful.

Disliked Nothing to dislike on this site. Wifi would be useful but is probably difficult in such a rural location.

From the manager: We thank you for the positive comments in this review and are proud of our customer service and facilities. We are a little confused why the comments "like" the position, but have only scored 3 out of 5 for location and that there was nothing disliked but we only have an overall rating of 6 out of 10, which is much less than the majority of our ratings.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely welcome from Jackie. Very helpful, beautiful scenery and quiet. Facilities were the nicest and cleanest I’ve ever seen on a campsite. The cafe on site did a lovely breakfast. And we even took some cake away. Even having an older child a lap around the animals and walk was nice. Thank you for a great stay. Great location for Danny harts bike park and hamestley forest
