  • Dog-friendly family site by the Viking Way walking/bike trail
  • Half an hour's drive from Cleethorpes beach and Go Ape adventure park
  • On-site bar; a 10-minute drive from Brigg pubs and farmers' market
Pick yourself a pitch at this peaceful farm site and get set for easy access to lots of lovely Lincolnshire days out… Setcops Farm is a family-friendly smallholding on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in a handy spot for days packed with visits to east coast beaches, farm parks, adventure parks, historic houses… Walking and cycling are likely to be on the cards around here too, whether you’re taking a 20-minute wander down to the local pub in the village of North Kelsey, pedalling to pretty nearby villages or setting out for lengthy hikes on the Viking Way (which runs past the site on its 147-mile route from the Humber through to Rutland). Eats and drinks can be sorted at the pubs and takeaways of Brigg and Caistor (both 10 minutes’ drive away); alternatively, check out both towns’ regular farmers’ markets and shops for tasty things to cook on the barbecue or consume by the firepit back at base. Cool drinks are on the menu at the site bar too (which is open on bank holidays and by request) – sip on these while the kids use the spacious garden area for games of football, swingball or badminton.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Our pitch was conveniently close to the toilets which were clean.
There is a fridge available and that helped a lot to store milk etc.
The site is quiet with pretty surroundings. Our hosts were helpful and always on hand if needed.
Thank you, we had a great time.

Disliked: There is nothing I disliked.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Stunning campsite on a really quiet farm. Owners were absolutely amazing, couldn’t do enough for you. Didn’t hear anything at night and slept well. Water and electric, no showers or chemical waste but does have an onsite loo. They had alpacas and a pig in the farm. Can’t wait to revisit as it’s such a relaxing campsite.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked: Lovely small site out in the countryside with a few animals.
Allows campfires which not many sites do so kids could roast marshmallows and we could sit outside the tent till late evening

Disliked: Check in not till 3pm and check out at 10am or pay an additional £2.50 to stay till 12. We were the only tent there so a little annoying to pay extra.
Toilets hadn’t been cleaned and had no toilet roll, had to eventually ask for some and weren’t cleaned during our stay.
£7.50 to hire fire pit, we provided our own wood.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Very chilled, relaxed vibe. The owners were super friendly. We really liked the animals on the farm and we became great friends with 'Oily' the chicken who kindly hovered up our tent for us before we left ;P

Disliked: We knew there was no onsite showers when we booked which was fine for us but not for everybody. I think the site would benefit from a shower block but didn't put us off.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Our 2nd time camping here and had a lovely welcome when we arrived. Given a choice of pitches to choose from. Loved the new addition of a new water tap on the outside of the barn. We love the peace and quiet. Also enjoyed the free range chickens wandering around and loved seeing the Alpacas had a new neighbor,Dotty the pig. Close to supermarket in Brigg or Canister and 30 minutes to Cleethorpes. Will definitely be returning again x

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: What a delight of a place!

This was our first time touring in a caravan as an upgrade from last year so everything was new to us from that respect, but from driving down the lovely lanes and into Setcops Farm, we were greeted and shown where to park and any initial concerns and questions were knowledgeably answered for us.

We had an electrical hook up pitch and leads were brought out to our caravan near immediately to ensure we could get set up and on our way to our first caravan family break away.

Other campers on site were friendly, knowledgeable and respectful.

We later spoke to the hosts, who were informative about more local attractions etc and upon seeing our, and other parties children playing brought out numerous activities for them to all enjoy. We can not in any way fault the hosting !!

Before planning our weekend break we were clear to read about setcops farm and it was described perfectly, a lovely quiet relaxing spot, water and electricity on site, and with loo facilities that were immaculately clean.

We are already planning our next break away and will definitely be visiting setcops farm again without doubt!!

For people who like a bit of quiet time, basic living (as much as caravan space allows) this is an ideal location with perfect hosts.

Keep up the great work and thank you for a brilliant stay, we will be back! 5🌟

Disliked: Nothing to dislike at all!

Local attractions

If the thunder of hooves appeals, it's a 20-minute trip by car to Market Rasen racecourse, where alongside the racing of steeds there are regular family entertainments, beer festivals and live music. For noisier racing, head 40 minutes to Cadwell Park's motor circuit for regular car and bike meets, vintage rallies and the chance to floor it on the bends yourself. There are assorted cows, goats, pigs and lambs to meet, pet and feed at Hall Farm Park (10 minutes), along with pedal karts and play barns. If you've caught the farming bug, have a go at milking the cows at Rand Farm Park (30 minutes) and take a tractor ride too. Also around half an hour away is Normanby Hall, a country park where you can spot wildlife, learn about rural life in the museum, tour the elegant Regency mansion and zoom through the trees at the Go Ape adventure park. For traditional seaside antics, it's a half-hour drive to Cleethorpes for pier amusements, sandcastle building, 10-pin bowling, coastal rides on the light railway and a zoo to nose around (plus some mighty fine fish and chips of course…). If you're keen to see what lurks beneath the surface of the world's seas, pay a visit to The Deep, the excellent aquarium in Hull (40 minutes' drive).
