23 sites across Germany
Wide choice of accommodation including luxury spa lodges
As the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Germany approaches, it’s anticipated that the focus will be on the country including a drive in tourism.
Pitchup.com launched into Germany late last year and has already grown the product to feature 23 sites across the length and breadth of the country.
“Pitchup.com has seen phenomenal growth into Europe since first launching in France back in 2013. We now feature over 1,200 sites in 15 countries and it’s growing daily. Germany has grown particularly fast this year, with some really stylish sites coming on board,” commented Dan Yates from Pitchup.com.
Among the 23 sites available in Germany are the following.
-
Style, luxury and excellent facilities are all offered at Camping Resort Zugspitze. Sitting in the foothills of the picturesque Bavarian mountains, this is a spectacular site. On-site facilities include a wine bar, restaurant, sauna and fitness room. There is also free wifi and excellent washing/laundry facilities. Accommodation ranges from touring pitches at £19 per night through to modern one-bedroom bungalows. The high-spec and spacious bungalows are fully furnished and also feature kitchen areas, private bathrooms and TVs. The bungalows start from £58 per night.
-
Camping am Pilsensee near Munich offers camping and glamping in a pretty field bordered by a lake. There is a snack bar, restaurant and shower facilities on site but otherwise a break here is all about enjoying nature. The local town offers everything one could need including a cinema, Bavarian beer tasting, a delicatessen and various shops and restaurants. Pitches start from £12 per night or alternatively book into a cosy pod where three people can sleep in comfort from £28 per night.

The four-berth microlodge at Campingplatz Naumburg is reason enough to book a stay here. The stylish lodge features a double bed in the main living area plus a double bed on a mezzanine level, as well as a mini kitchen/dining area and a pretty verandah. Starting from £32 per night it’s also an affordable choice. Other facilities on site include a snack bar, sauna pod and shower blocks. The site is located almost in the centre of Naumburg and offers a great base for trekking one of the many routes in the area.

In high season families will love a stay at Freizeitpark Camping Schuttehof. There are great facilities on site for entertaining kids including a playground, table tennis, zoo and pony rides. The site also has its own swimming pool and restaurant. Freizeitpark is located in the northern Black Forest, near the romantic and historical town Horb am Neckar, here visitors will be able to see how traditional glass blowing is done, visit a castle or relax at various natural spas. Accommodation on site includes a choice of pitches for camping starting from £12 per night through to a luxury four-berth family holiday home complete with ensuite and kitchen area. These start from £39 per night.

Other facilities include a games room, playground, sports ground and shower block. The site offers a wide choice of pitches for tents, tourers and motorhomes starting from £16 per night.
