Cornwall fans will find it easier to get to the county from next summer, with easyJet announcing a new route to Newquay from both Southend and Liverpool.
It will be the first time in its history the budget airline has flown to Newquay.
easyJet estimates an extra 20,000 passengers a year will use the two new routes to explore the surf and sand of Cornwall, as well as go further afield to popular destinations in Devon.
Both airports will run three flights a week to Newquay, with the Southend flights starting on 20 June 2013 and running on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The Liverpool flights start on 4 July and will run on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
easyJet commercial manager Ali Gayward said: ‘We’re thrilled to add Newquay Cornwall Airport to our network for the first time and believe it will be a popular choice for business travellers and UK holidaymakers looking for an idyllic “staycation”.’
Tickets are already on sale for both routes and start from around £31.
